Alright so me and the girlfriend are heading to Vegas this weekend for the first time. Anything good to do or see? Other than gambling, I'm going to be doing plenty of that. :D

Since you are taking your girlfriend I cannot think of a single thing to do other than gamble...

I'd say a few of those daytime pool parties would be worth a look.

Fountains at the Bellagio! I thought it sounded totally lame, but a friend dragged me over to see them, and it was well worth it!

The light show down in old Vegas is pretty cool too!

Sports Books are really fun to hang out in and watch games, etc. Get there super early if you're going to watch a big game because they will be packed.

I like the new Las Vegas okay, but the Las Vegas of the 1970's was a special place.

Gotta watch the Final Four in the best Sports Book you can find. The experience is pretty cool.

Totally agree!! We did that a few years ago, and it was fantastic! Just get there really early and pick a good seat because once people start to show up for the game, the room will go from 3 people to completely packed in under 5 minutes.

If you dig topless chicks and the gf wants to see a Cirque du Soleil show, check out Zumanity at New York, New York.

If you go to New York New York, they have a roller coaster you can ride. I went on it once and it was fun.

If I didn't bring the sand to the desert, I wouldn't have a sandbox to play in when I got home. :D

When I went to Vegas I didn't make any plans and just figured it out once I got there and I had a blast

Remember to enjoy both ends of Vegas. Checkout the old places as well as the new....

Problem: Taking your gf with you to Vegas the first time you go.

It's fine to do! Just not your first time IMO...

Don't forget to get a complete collection of cards that is passed out along the sidewalk!

They are kinda like baseball cards.

Do they still have that one on top of that tall tower? (Forget the name.)

If you haven't been to the Grand Canyon, take a flyout trip (they're offered in several hotels there). Me & the wife enjoyed that more than anything in Vegas itself. In fact, the 3 things we enjoyed the most (GC, took a guide & caught a bunch of stripers on Lake Mead, & went to Hoover Dam) were all outside the city limits.

Check out the new bridge just down stream from hoover.

check the new hotel/casino (or whatever) next to Bellagio. it appears to be huge.

go to downtown vegas.

go to Sahara, if it's still open. heard it's about to close, one of the really old ones. saw my 1st "dinner show) there in late 64. Connie Francis
saw Don Rickles there in a "lounge show" before he was really famous. 1967

go to top of "stratosphere" tower. fantastic view, & i think it rotates.
there's a roller coaster on top for the fearless. (not for me)

Bally's is a good place to stay, centrally located & reasonably priced. we've
stayed there 3 or 4 times. actually you can't go wrong.
we had our room "comped" there last visit, wife gambles more than me.

go to Boulder City. really nice clean town, near the lake. i heard it's the only place in NV where there's no gambling.

that's all i got.
