What an absolute sleazebag Obama is.

His speech last night was egotisical, arrogant and untrue. He takes credit for any and everything but admits no blame or fault for anything.

Still, the corrupt, vile media continues to let this turd get away with everything.

Joe Biden: War Without Congress Authorization Should Warrant Impeachment

Sen. Joe Biden threatens to initiate impeachment if President Bush acts militarily against Iran without congressional authorization. Speech at the Scott County Democratic Party banquet, Davenport, Iowa on December 14, 2007.

"The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."
- Senator Barack Obama
December 20, 2007

Obama is using the same language Bush did against Iraq. Both countries are/were under UN sanctions and no-fly-zone. If one is wrong, so is the other. And telling a committee of 18 you are going to bomb Libya is not getting congressional authorization.

For those of you who missed it, here's the short version of the
Obama Doctrine

There are dickheads in the world and the United States stands against dickheads. In many cases, however, the dickheads are far away, in uninteresting places that the media pays no attention to. We won't be doing anything there (Myanmar). In other places, it would cost ****loads of money and lives. We won't be doing much of anything there, either (Iran and N. Korea, exhale, you're good to go.) In some cases, though, the dickheads will have the ill fortune to be weak, isolated and easy to attack with little chance of casualties. You guys are, to be brief, toast just as soon as I get p.o.'d enough to come get yo azz. Ghadaffi, my man, next time out of the box, try hard not to have a nation that is 35 miles deep off a really attractive beach and within easy flight time of about seventy-billion western warplanes. BAD PLANNING ON YOU.
Thanks and may God Bless You All.

If you just recycle what people said about dubya, does it really inform the dialogue, or is it all just mission accomplished?

The point is....that GW could have used (probably nearly did) the same speech for entering Iraq or Afghanistan.

The Secretary of Defense clearly stated on TV interviews this weekend that..."it was the right thing to do; but not vital to our national interest".

Gates Says Libya Not Vital National Interest
By JON HILSENRATH
Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Libya's civil conflict wasn't a vital national interest of the United States, even as he and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sought to defend U.S. military action there.

"I don't think it's a vital interest of the United States, but we clearly have an interest there," Mr. Gates said in an appearance on the NBC News program, "Meet the Press" as part of a round of appearances on Sunday morning talk shows.

So, what it does show is the HYPOCRISDY on the left and LW media.
Clearly there was a humanitarian side of the equation.
BUT...the same case could be made for many other conflicts in middle and southern Africa and Asia......where millions have died over the years.....thousands of women raped!

But, there is no oil in Darfur! THIS IS ABOUT OIL FOR OUR EUROPEAN PARTNERS. It is in our national interest......so that NATO will help us go to war for our oil!

Then there is the whole idea that he is selling this action as "sanctioned by the international community"!
(But, not by our own Congress - what does that say?)
There was a larger coallition of partners in Iraq!

And, the mandate was for protecting Libyian civilians - not having our assets clearly provide direct air support of ground troops!

Daily Oklahoman
AP story - page 2A
Gadhafi's Hometown Could Be Last Line of Defense....
....."NATO has insisted that it is seeking only to protect civilians and not to give air cover to an opposition march. But, that line looked set to become even more blurred.
Vice. Admrl. William Gourtney, staff director for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the U.S. was hitting Libyan targets with Thunderbolts (A-10s) and AC 130 gunships, aircraft that can fly low enough to suport ground operations."

"...There was growing criticism from Russia and other countries.....that the international air campaign is overstepping the bounds of the UN resolution ...".

Obama Lied - Thousands Died!

Bottom line is -I actually support the aaction.
But, Obama being untruthful pisses me off bigtime!
There is no "change" here.
He's sounding more like Clinton every day!
(I will not have war with that country...)

That was funny. The Newster was really on his game with that explanation. Gingrich is not only a cad, but is also the pure definition of a politician. My first choice for the GOP would, of course, be simple sarah. Then, I would go with the bat-shiz crazy woman from Minnesota. It's a big enough issue IMO. Why we send billions overseas for aid while we have homeless, underfed, struggling people right in our country has always been a sore point with me. There are lots of people that need help in the USA. I'm a big supporter of domestic mission trips, not ones to Mexico or the Dominican Republic or wherever. Hell, right in the White House's back yard practically. DC is a poor city outside of all the gov't buildings.

Foreign aid is a drop in the proverbial bucket compared to what the Defense Department wastes in a week. The cost of the bombs dropped on Libya this past week could fund all the teachers that have been laid off by the various states in the past two years. Waste, fraud, and abuse up the wazoo.

Most homeless people suffer from mental illness (or so I recall). Not sure how much money is going to keep them off of the street. Welfare, food stamps, unemployment benefits running 2 years plus, government housing, section 8's, free school and transportation to and from it, WIC programs, etc... I am sure some people fall through the cracks but it is a pretty big net.

D.C. is by far the most subsidized city in the US.

I'm all for ending the federal subsidy, as long as DC could impose a commuter tax (my taxes would go up, and yours would go down). But if the federal subsidy is ended, that ends the right of the busybody bluenoses on the Hill from telling DC how to spend the tax money it collects (like not allowing the tallying of the votes on whether to allow medical marijuana).

Informed us of what?
What we had already heard from all the talking heads on the news media?
We learned nothing new....including his hypocrisy!
(On-the-job training!)

When we bash somebody constantly, that takes away from our credibility when we make a good point. By definition a speech is always informative. There is implied information, and directly spoken information within a speech.

Now, you're not even willing to give the president the basic credit of his speech being informative; that takes away when you make a fair criticism of the president. Nobody is always right and always wrong.

Any concerns whatsoever about the fact that 40% of the terrorists in Iraq came from eastern Libya...the area we are helping to defend now? Or about the fact Al Queda could be in charge of the rebel force we are aiding?

Most leaders are saying they don't know much about the rebels...yet we jump out there to help them? Does this seem smart?

If you'll notice Gaddhafi's initial statements, he was accusing Al Queda of masterminding this rebellion. I don't sense any love lost between the two nor do I get the idea that Gaddhafi ever had any real control over them.

Gaddhafi may have been behind some of the trouble in Iraq, but I have never seen any terrorist activity blamed on him by our leaders beyond what occured 25 years ago.

He has said all kinds of crap over the last month. No one has believed anything that he has said for the last 20 or so years. Al Qaida didn't mastermind the change in power in Egypt or Tunisia. Young people (the majority of the population in all 3 of these countries) are the driving force for change. So far, they have sought a more democratic form of government. But we didn't have to involve ourselves in Tunisia or Egypt. Who knows how they will turn out. And we sure didn't have to involve ourselves in Libya where even our leaders state they don't know the rebels and their Al quaida connection is unclear. It is a risky venture to say the least.

But, as I've already said, I am for the US to get out of the intervention business with the exception of extreme circumstances, so most interventions I will not look on favorably.

That was funny. The Newster was really on his game with that explanation. Gingrich is not only a cad, but is also the pure definition of a politician. My first choice for the GOP would, of course, be simple sarah. Then, I would go with the bat-shiz crazy woman from Minnesota. Then, it would be Gingrich, and then it would be the preacher/governor/bass player from Arkansas. The two that would worry me the most would be boss hog from Mississippi and the slick Mormon. You cannot win without independent votes, and I think both of them could get some independents to vote for them.

Dude. Please. Stop using big words. You don't even know what "Alinskyian" means.

It's all the negros they rounded up to vote for the first semi-negro prez. Nothing more, nothing less. Those same negros are deep into their crack addiction and will not be showing up in 2012 to vote. Yes, there will be a bunch of white women from Arlington, VA and the DC area to pick up the slack, but honestly, they voted for him the first time around.

Last night, a normal citizen walking through the national mall was jumped on and assaulted by a couple - gasp - negroes. The TV said "it's the first time in forever this kind of stuff has happened in DC." I thought "yes, that is true, but it's turning the other way...again." Not everything, but Congress, especially when Republicans are in control, like to muck around with whatever this Democratic city does -- like cutting funds for needle exchanges, forcing the city to have charter schools, etc. Congressional Republicans even try to restrict how the city spends its own money -- i.e., money that it collects in taxes, not the federal money.

But you still have millions of people that refuse to recognize him as he is. Too, you have the vile, corrupt Media that ignores, distorts and dismisses all of his screw ups.

These are the "brown banana eaters." You know, the people that Obama tells that a turd really is a brown banana and it's okay to eat and they go ahead and believe and eat.

Okay. If you say so.
