do you mean heard in person?

Well, I think the first concert i went to (that wasn't orchestral) was Weird Al. Still a big fan.

And the most recent was Bebel Gilberto, and U2 before that, I think.

The Clash, and "London Calling" is my favorite record, CD and cassette to this day.

I like Sleigh Bells way more than I should, especially for running. It sounds like punks and cheerleaders had a 45-minute fight.

First- The first that i remember liking was Elton (yeah, I know) My parents had just gotten the "Dont' Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player" album. My biggest reason for liking it was Crocodile Rock. When you're five and there is a song about crocodiles, it's automatically f'ing cool.

Yeah, The Beatles singing I Wanna Hold Your Hand except for me that was in 1963 and they made a huge impression on me when I was in the 5th grade. I have been hooked ever since.

Not the latest but one of them I like is Zero 7 . . .

same here. i'd be interested to see how their songs sounded in a band setting instead of all "electronic." like with a horn section and everything. my band is probably going to test it.

Elvis Presley was the 1st. My mom adored the guy. I remember listening to Hound Dog with my older sister when we were kids, good times.

My newest musician...Joe Bonamassa. Just an amazing artist, he is like a fine wine or a single barrel scotch. He only gets better with time.

His new Dust Bowl album is just awesome.

I saw Elvis @ the Tulsa fairgrounds in early 56. he probably became my favorite, but far from my 1st.

saw him live twice more, in Vegas & Dallas.

I agree with thunder, but like him that was due to my parents' influence. The first band I got into on my own was Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

The most recent is probably Mastodon.

I'm not sure how others feel, but I still like nearly all the bands that I first heard when I was real young. (From memory: Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, the Beach Boys, the Beatles.) The exception is The Beatles, which I hate more than college football playoff schemes and UT combined.

I am not a huge fan, but I appreciate their talent and the influence they had on so many other artists.
