My fiance and I are going to be having a baby in October:D

I have been very blessed as of late and I see this as an even bigger one. Bethany High School is giving me all kinds of work and I will have my teaching certificate over the summer. Hopefully they will open/create a teaching position for me. My family might not be starting in the ideal order but I couldn't be more pleased with my life right now.

Thanks in advance for your support and love! I will be sure to bring my little one by the TG's this year.

Speaking as a parent of 3 boys...no matter how much you love your children take care of them, try to pass along your values, etc......sometimes children make bad decisions - and turn bad.

Congrats!! My son is an October baby, the 5th actually, same day as The King. I managed to have him on Monday, was home by Thursday, plenty of time for the game on Saturday. So, plan on that. :D ;)

It would almost be worth it to see one of my kids try to do that. Doesn't mean they have to go to OU...they're just not going to OSU.


On a related note...one of my favorite "you're not going to that school" stories from far and away the best rivalry in college sports. My older brother's neighbor in Dallas is from Alabama. She has 6 brothers and sisters. She is the baby. All 6 brothers and sisters attended and graduated from Auburn. Near the end of her senior year, she came home with her mother and her father sitting in the living room and staring at her. On the couch cushion, in between her parents, was a sheet of paper and an envelope. It was an acceptance letter from Alabama.

To make a long story short, she wasn't invited and didn't come to freaking Christmas that year. A year later, one of the older brothers had to drive to Tuscaloosa and pick up "benedict" (her new family name, seriously) so she wouldn't miss Christmas for the 2nd straight year. Her father did not speak to her or touch her for the 1,400 days she was at Alabama. He talks to her now and has apologized and I've even met him, he's a great guy. I asked him how he could have done that and he said he thought it was a horrible practical joke and he kept waiting for everyone to yell "surprise!" and no one ever did.

To this day, "benedict" says that her father, every six months or so...will tell her, "you really broke my heart into pieces, you know that don't you." The family stories over the last 2 years with Alabama and Auburn winning the last 2 NC's have been pretty entertaining as well. (a funeral wreath was involved)
