Anthony passed away this morning.

Wanted to let everyone know that my little cousin, Anthony, passed away this morning around 2:00. He'd been in steady decline for some time, and could not overcome the pneumonia that overtook his little body in recent days. He turned 12 on March 15.

Thank you to everyone who has carried him and his family on your hearts, and please continue to lift DJ and Jackie up. Both boys continue their own battle, and the loss of Anthony will be difficult for them to understand.

I know I haven't been on here often of late, but if you remember, Anthony, DJ and Jackie have all been battling Adrenoleukodystrophy. Thank you again to everyone who prayed or helped in some way.

today, my family is in Cheyenne, OK (I wasn't able to make it due to a prior commitment) celebrating my grandmother's 95 birthday. This week has been full of mixed emotions... and the complexities of life have really been magnified. It's so odd to question and comprehend the loss of one whose life had hardly begun, and at the same time, being blessed to celebrate the spirit and spryness of a 95 year-old woman.

Thank you again everyone. There will be a memorial for anthony this week in Sayre. His parents and brothers will be with family again after a long haul at Duke University Hospital. Of course, they will have to go back to continue receiving care for the two younger brothers, but it will be a bittersweet reunion for many.

again, i cannot thank you enough for your prayers, thoughts, messages, kindness and generosity. i know further donations have been received, and will be used for the continued care of DeeJay and Jackie. thank you from the bottom of my heart.
