Watching this past Sunday's Undercover Boss at lunch today and the COO of the MGM Grand was at the roulette table w/ an old Vietnam vet training him. The vet was training the COO and mentioned he went to OU and was a huge Sooner fan. The COO mentioned he too was a Sooner fan. After the reveal, the COO gave the vet a signed OU helmet saying Bob Stoops was a good friend of his and that Stoops was flying the guy and his brothers to watch a game in his box. Thought that was pretty cool and figured you folks may want to check it out online somewhere if you can.

The COO said that Stoops was going to let the dude sit in his own personal box during a game of his choice. I'm not surprised he picked the RRR. :D

Yeah I saw this episode as well. The guy represented OU really well. He was the guy that probably knew his job the best too lol.

Ya I noticed that. I'm guessing he went from the box to a sideline guest possibly.

They'll probably put them up at the team hotel but it looks like he forfeited a chance to hobnob with Stoops peeps at Owen Field for a chance to witness a horn beat down in Texas. Thats a true Sooner fan right there. :)

That was my thoughts also. Good man to pass up rubbing elbows to head to the Cotton Bowl.

Was I the only person who noticed that the MGM's undercover Boss for the show used the alias Paul Thompson for the show. I thought that was pretty cool also.

Ya I forgot about that. I noticed it at first but never thought about it afterwards when he was talking about OU. I wonder if the roulette vet ever said "Paul Thompson?". I worked with a Steve Collins once who knew of the old OU QB. The first thing out of mouth when he said "my name's Steve Collins" was "The OU QB?" He laughed. He's white.
