Any injury updates? And is he going to start this year? He was really getting hot right before he was injured last season.

I say Stills and Miller on the outside with Broyles in the slot FTW

There will be lots of movement at WR this season. The starters will be the same but Justin McCay, Trey Metoyer (assuming he's here) Trey Franks, will all play a lot

And should have some RBs as well. Offense looks pretty loaded if the line can continue the progress shown last season.

If I'm able to see his dad this coming Sunday, I'll ask him how Dejuan is doing

If I'm remembering right, he was still leaving his feet a lot during the reception. Played good, but if he could work that out he has the potential to be great. I think that may be how he got injured even, not sure though. Is Jazz Reynolds going to be back? He was looking good at the end of 09, my only concern is that he'll have a lot of experience in front of him. Good to have experienced depth though.

He is cleared to practice, will not do contact as a precaution, which means no scrimmages

From what I read over the years he hasn't practice well anyway.

PRACTICE?!

MILLER IS A GAMER.

Yea because I didn't think of that. Ok, I guess I'll rephrase the question. Does anyone know of a website that has full photo galleries from the 03 season games. Soonersports does not.

There probably isn't one, you do know that was like 8 years ago? Do a google search and see if there are any pics connected to any galleries. About as good as I got. He was only answering your question...

Let's hope there's an embarrassment of riches on the OLINE so that LJ can do his thang.

THIS. But I wouldn't mind any other combination, we're honestly stacked at receiver.

Yea, I'm asking because I was surprised I couldn't find anything google. So I figured maybe someone around here knew a good place. Shoot me. But regardless, what I was getting at was:

Remember this guy? Remember how his size created so many match-up problems that teams couldn't focus solely on Broyl....errr I mean Clayton. Dejuan is key. He doesn't even need to be as good as Brandon. He just needs to keep being as big.

This guy knows what he's saying. And there really should be for the regular season. I would have taken it a step further and said:

Brandon Jones. One of my favorite OU receivers ever, and I honestly couldn't tell you why.

This has been my biggest complaint about his play. He's learned to do a good job of using his body to shield a defender and his hands are solid. But he's GOT to stop jumping every time he gets a slant pass. As soon as he leaves his feet, he gets tackled.

Agreed. He's not a natural at the position. But if I remember correctly, he also looked like he was finally getting it in the Texas game. And then of course he gets hurt.

miller isn't even on the 2-deep as we speak. i realize it's a meaningless depth chart right now, but who is to say he will even play over mccay or sheldon mcclain etc? just being big isn't everything.

Neither is Trey Millard. You think we might be seeing some of him in the fall? If someone takes his starting spot, that would be fine by me. That would mean we have some seriously scary talent at receiver. But unless one of these kids transformed into an absolute stud in the offseason, I would bet Josh is going to want to use his size to our advantage. Size may actually turn out to be everything if you're trying to be the third receiver on this team, behind Stills and Broyles. And like the guy above me said, he looked really really good in the Cinci and Texas games.

That's not what your mom said.

Dejuan has always been good when he got significant playing time. He was our 2nd best receiver over the 2nd half of 2009, and he played well during 2010. He must be doing something in practice (or not doing something in practice) that the coaches don't like, because he has performed on the field.

I have to also say that it's incredibly frustrating that we threw him out there to get a couple catches in a blowout loss in '08. We have done that with several wide receivers, where we burn their shirt to get some irrelevant blowout PT (Brandon Jones, Pooh Tennell, Jameel Owens, and Dajuan come to mind).

I did not know this. Are you telling me he could have had 2 more years left, but we burnt his redshirt in a blowout?
