I would suggest Torrance Marshall as well as Josh Heupel.

I think the thing with Marshall is that other than the individual game awards, his best recognition was being a 3rd team all american...Those other guys are all american, heisman winners, player of year award winning superstars...

cam newton should be disqualified on that list. he was at florida before his laptop incident. just because he had to play at a JC becuase he got kicked off of the gators due to his criminal activity, doesn't--in my mind-- qualify him as a direct JC trasfer...jus sayin'

O.J. was certainly a cut above the rest.

He certainly could slice up opponents.

Josh Heupel deserves a statue on the east side of the stadium, too.

well, if he got one, we'd need a lot of them :D

O.J. was certainly a cut above the rest.

For a young man of his time he was a cut ahead of the others.

Growing up in LA in the 60s I'd watch him jab back and forth with his running.

If I were to take a stab at my own list, it would certainly include O.J. as well.

Heck if I didn't include OJ on my list he'd kill me.

Was that subtle enough?

Just curious, but are you saying to disqualify CN because he got kicked out of Florida, or just the fact that he started his career at a 4 year school?

O.J. certainly left it all on the field....blood, sweat, and tears. Unfortunately for him, he left it in other places as well...

he's done more than enough to carve out a spot on this list

it's not like he was in a JC because he didn't get noticed out of high school or couldn't qualify

One can make that exact same statement (for a different reason obviously) about Heupel. I was just curious about which one was being used, no biggie either way.

b/c he started his career at a 4 year school. he wouldnt have been at a JC if he hadn't been kicked out of florida.

Yes. He & Mackey were pretty much a package deal. Here's a little story about TRRW's "recruitment" (otherwise known as how he fell into OU's lap) :

Yeah, but slitting the throats of two people gets you ranked number 1.
