What temperature do you set your thermostat?

During the winter it's set to 68 until 6pm then it bumps to 70 for a few hours, before going into sleep mode back at 68. My gas bills of roughly $40 a month this winter approved of this.

I don't have a thermastat. Or a heater, air conditioner or insulation. Climate is controlled by opening windows, and running the ceiling fans in each room.

Is that your summer, winter, or vacation home?

The cabin in Shaver gets nipply. When nobody is renting it the property management company sets it to 50...and when we had feet of snow last month I put antifreeze in the toilets, sinks, drains....

My dad liked to keep the house at 68 when we were growing up. I got use to that, so I like it cool.

In the summer 77 during the day when no one is home, drops down to 75 when we come home.

In the winter it is around 70 during the day and I let it drop down to 65 during the night.

my bro-in-law says my sister's discomfort zones overlap.

if it's anywhere between 75-85, she can be either too hot or too cold.

Depends on how hot or cold I feel. But normally its between 72-74 during the day. At night I turn it down to 70 when I go to bed.

sore spot between me and wifey. I cant stand that she changes the thermostat when I am not looking. That woman would feel cold if it was 78. Anyway, I'd like to keep at 68 i in winter (71 is reality with bitchy wife) and up to 73 in the summer (68 is reality with bitchy wife).

Worst arguments in our marriage has been over this.

In the winter, 72 (unless it feels cold, then we turn it up) and 66 at night. In the summer it's more like 76 or so.

63 in winter. I might pop it up to 64-65 for a few hours a day if I get cold.

Summer, it probably averages out around 72-75 during the day. I don't have to run the a/c most summer days, and I can keep the windows open. Most nights, the house cools back down, and it's really pleasant.

In the winter I shut it off. We burn wood to heat the house when it's cold. By morning, it's a big nipply, but it feels good laying in the warm bed with momma.

In the summer, I don't have a clue. Momma sets it at something, and if it's too hot I tell her to turn it down. If it's too cold, I tell her to turn it up.

We also run ceiling fans year round in every room. The most expensive electric bill I've ever had was $210, and I have propane delivered, but a 500-gallon tank lasts me well over a year - which includes heating our water. No water bill (other than the % of electric for pumping the well) and no sewer bill (except if you have to get the septic pumped out which happens maybe once every 10-12 years).

I like living in the country.

Am I the only one who lives with retards? Air conditioning on during the day cause it's 85, but I'm laying here in the bed and I feel the heater come on. Why do my roommates insist if they are cold and the air conditioning is on, switching it to the heater? Can't you just turn off the air? Personally I would prefer to sleep with the air on, but to turn on the heater....Are you ****ing stupid? Heater season ended weeks ago. It's not getting below 55 tonight. Not only waste of energy, but makes it impossible to sleep. Use a ****ing blanket or something. IMO, the air and heat should not ever be on in the same day.
