OK boys and girls, it's time to bust the slump, bust our humps, and get conference ball going. I'm in DC and will need regular updates from y'all. I'd really like some posts from folks at the game.

/\ absolutely incorrect. Seitzer should be able to lay down a flipping bunt to move the runners over. Bushyhead inability to lay down a proper squeeze bunt compounds the problem.

Correct call...players have to execute.

If we lose this one, this will be the inning that turned the tide. Gotta make the right plays at the right time against the good teams...

Yeah I know 1 or 2 runs would be big against their pitching, but cmon. let em play.

1st and 3rd...nobody out...let them hit, I say. But I'm not a coach. And to tell you the truth i really don't know the strategy of college ball. I do enjoy watching OU though.

wow...rocha is flat dealing. this as strong a performance as i have seen on the mound from a sooner starter in a long time. neal, shore, and rocha had some gems last year....but wow. if any you fellas recall garrett richards dominance over ucla 2 years ago.....this has the same feel.

Totally disagree. You can hit into a double play and that run scores. It's gotten to the point where we squeeze way too much with the runner at 3rd and less than 2 outs. I say swing the bats. If Seitzer can't put the bat on the ball in that situation, then we are in trouble anyways.

After looking back over that game....I change my tune...and see your point --- in this situation --- with letting Seitzer swing there simply because Bushyhead is still clueless at the plate even IF Seitzer lays down a great sac bunt.

In general, I have no problem with small ball especially when facing a strong staff.

Sunny tends to go to bunting in every situation when the team is struggling at the plate. In saying that, I saw some signs last night that the team might be coming out of the slump. Some good hard hit balls last night.

I noticed how cocky some of our guys were (yes you Buechele) after the San Diego trip. All the "that's how we do it in Oklahoma" crap. Scoring about 4 runs over 5 games ain't how we do it in Oklahoma.

Either we're in a major slump (everybody but Rocha it seems) or we're just not that good. Personally, I'm going with the slump. These boys know how to play ball. They just ain't doing it. Maybe Sunny needs to change something up in practice, or completely revamp the lineup. Something. Anything. Maybe ask Gasso if he can borrow a couple of the girls.

Only three teams have given up this many runs to A&M this year: LeMoyne, Centenary and Prairie View.

Starting pitchers warm up differantly than relivers. Why wouldn't he go with Mayfield, or somebody who is prepared to step in at a moments notice. Even with as good as Rocha is pitching you couldn't tell him in the middle of the game your in and expect him to do well. Is SG trying to get these guys on track or screw them up. Before you guys say every player should be ready to go that is just not true, it's not like playing the field. Talk to a starter about the routine they go through before they start. Long toss and streatching out. Even relivers have a routine that they do.

Tough day today. My boys (8 and 9) and I really got into OU baseball last year and even went to Omaha. The wife got me season tickets (GA) this year but because of work today was the first game I could attend. To make matters worse I saw on soonersports.com that the game was at 3 p.m. I'm evidently not smart enough to read the EST after the listed time. So by the time my son and I made it to the park we were already down 6-0 and had a hell of a time finding hits after that. There seemed to be quite a few A&M fans in the stadium, which was a bit disconcerting. Oh well, let's win the rubber match tomorrow. I'll be there with the other son. Game time is 2 p.m. EST (which means I need to get to the park before 1 O'Clock!).

More concerning is the large contingent of eATMe fans that were in attendance this weekend. What's up with that?

There are a lot of A&M fans that live in the OKC area and they usually show up pretty well.
