Looks like we beat out UNM for his committment. http://oklahoma.scout.com/a.z?s=146&p=9&c=8&toinid=667&yr=2012

On Scout, he's not yet rated, and the other 3 we have committments from are all rated 3-stars. WTF?

Scout sucks.

Plus, it's still early.

I didn't notice his name on any of the recruiting lists I've seen for OU for WR or DB. Is he a hidden gem, that nobody else knew about, or what?

He was interviewed and said he is open to play whatever OU wants him at.

That being said...He will be a DB

I loved it when we got Ronnell and he wasn't listed on any service at all.

I really wouldnt worry about his star rating. If OU is offering him 11 months before signing day that means he can play. Period.

Do none of you remember a heisman trophy winner that was a 3-star.What was his name ?? Who cares what a bunch of washed out old farts have to say about it anyway. Fun to read in the off-season, but I will defer to coach and his guys. I chose to believe in Stoops and his program. It's working out pretty well.

I get so tired of hearing this 3-star what was his name crap... It wasn't like Sam Bradford sucked coming out of high school! He was ranked as the 12th overall QB in the NATION right ahead of Taylor Potts and Christian Ponder. No. 11 ranked QB was Greg McElroy. I wonder how many times you hear Tech, Bama, and FSU say this same stuff? That's right, they don't say it... *smh*

EDIT: By the way, Scout.com had him ranked as a 4-star QB for all you star f*ckers...

Apparently, Mr. Brooks took a trip to Austin this weekend & now has a formal 'horn offer.

I understand he told Texas he wasn't coming without an offer. He went and got his offer. His dad said that Texas still has some ground to make up. Apparently, he is supposed to make it back up to Norman later. Stoops will be giving him the dating/marriage speech. We'll see.

With Neal's commitment we might need the extra ship before it's all over. I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to look at the bigger picture
