I'll never forget that game. It was the last season that I lived in Norman before I moved to Atlanta. EPIC.

That would be texas tech 2008Wasn't that the year after the two really bad calls in the last seconds of the game we played in Lubbock? I really wanted to beat them bad. We must have. :D

That was 2005, but either way it was sweet to smack them down - especially after the whole school rubbed our noses in it for basically three years.

laid down the hammer for sure. The sheer volume of sound in the stadium was just unreal. We sure as hell earned that game ball. I couldn't speak for like 2 days and my ears were ringing for a week lulz!

I couldn't talk for a couple days afterward either. That was the funnest game I ever attended. That was the perfect football night at Owen field.

We sit in the Kerr McGee Club. We were outside in our seats during the OU/oSu game we played after they'd beat us. The crowd was crazy then too. We saw people hanging out of the suite windows screaming. I know you could hear them all the way down on the field. :)

I've never experienced anything like that game... and I've been to a lot of games in a lot of places... It was so special, that I would even venture to say I'll probably never experience a game that awesome again.

All the stars aligned and it was just unbelievable. It was especially gratifying since little graham harrell came into the stadium in pre-game acting like he owned the place... Didn't leave that way. :D

My claim to fame....when Corso was interviewing Sam after that game, I started the Heisman chant that got Sam to grinning

Didn't he give us a game ball when the Pokes came to Norman the next season after the last time they beat us in Stillwater? Seems like Josh Fields n company couldn't hear a thing in Norman and spent the entire game running for his life.

Understood. But then that was also a pretty fun game to watch on TV for all of us who couldn't be there. LOL

We sure did show up that game too. It was so loud my chest was vibrating, and that was right outside the club Lord knows how loud it must have been down below us. :D

A lot of pokes didn't even come back after the half. Those whom did, shortly left during the 3rd quarter. From where I was sitting, it looked like orange slushy flowing down the stairs. :P

Superdome and they're in the locker room]

Bob Stoops: "Anybody got an idea?"

[Silence]

"Hey, remember the time Scott Hill tackled Tony Dorsett by soaring through the air like a screeching pterodactyl?"

[Everybody nods head/mumbles "yeaaa"]

"Yeah, that was pretty epic. How 'bout the time Tony Jefferson tackled the turd from Texas, and threw him into a full-blown cartwheel?"

[Everybody shows noticeable increase in swagger]

"Y'all remember the time Curtis Loften intercepted the ball and punk'd Chase McDaniel, and he ran for the touchdown like a BAMF?"

[Everybody is chest pumping and hollering obscenities about their masculinity]

Lou Holtz: "Remember the time Jason White..."

[Begins to slobber unrelentlessly in his southern drawl, and everybody stares at him wondering who let him in the locker room]

"Remember the time Torrence Marshall showed up at the coin toss talking so much trash Weinke thought he was going to murder his entire family and the Sooners won the Orange Bowl do ya?

[Everybody looks like Sooners:champions]

Could have put over 70 on Texas Tech, but the starters were out in the 4th quarter, and Leach kept the starters in to get a worthless trash time touchdown....

That moment when they played jump around was the pinnacle of what I think was the most fun I have had at Sooners Game in Norman

It was freezing cold...winner bascially gets a police escort to a sacrificial lamb in B12 Championship and gets to play for MNC....the crowd was more loud and electric than I have ever heard ...

What an awesome night it was

Wasn't Josh Fields Qb in the early 2000'S? You mean Zac Robinson?
