I think OU gets guys from other schools and helps them out. Like UCO ...

doing the 3 cone drill now. Cory Brandon had to run it twice because he cut a cone. on the 2nd time, he kinda did it again. haha

Cam Kenney looked pretty fast from what I could tell.

I hope Kenney makes a roster somewhere. That guy could be every bit as good as Shipley, IMO.

Crap, i was wondering why his speed results weren't showing up. I has heard last year that he was one of the fastest kids on the team.
Madu's number are slower than I expected, too.

Thanks for that....yeah, he definitely had some agility....wasn't sure if he was an LB, DE or what until I saw him going through the RB drills with DeMarco and Madu.

He seemed a lot bigger than the 5'10" 247 lbs they have on wikipedia. Would not want to have to tackle him in the open field.

I went to the Army SMU bowl game and that FB/Mooney was a hoss. He was their offense for the most part. Ran hard and very physical.

The sleeper of the day was receiver Cameron Kenney. Kenney, who caught 33 receptions for the Sooners last season with an average of 16.4 yards per catch, ran his 40 in 4.52 seconds then posted solid marks in the vertical jump (35.5 inches) broad jump (10-9) and 20-yard shuttle (4.09 seconds). Considered a free agent entering the day, he may now move into the late rounds.

That's a really good broad jump. Very respectable vertical and 20-shuttle. Would have thought the 40 time would be a little better though.

I went to HS with him and he played LB for us and only carried it once his whole HS career and West Point switched him to offense. He's probably bigger than 247 now since those measurements were 2 years ago. He's done the mandatory 2 years of service in the Army at Fort Sill so now he's eligible for the NFL. His last season for West Point was 2008.

Here are some of his highlights from 2008
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6lQJfMraTY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLALXVkBW3E&feature=related

Today he ran a 4.6 40 and benched 225 28 times which was the best of the group. He also had the best broad jump I heard but not sure on the numbers.

Even though the 4.52 is nothing great, the jump and the vertical show burst and explosion which is pretty important at the WR position coming off the line...still not a lot of film to back him up though

So what we need to know from his 40 is what the first 10 yds were, similar to Mark Ingram?

Good point....saw that breakdown they had where Ingram had a great first 10 split, but the last 20 yards were where the other guys caught up to him.

Here is video of Cam going through the drills

Thought he showed pretty good agility....change of direction could have been a little better on some of the shuttles. Didn't look like he got off to a great start on his 40's.

Nelson:

"I just sprained my quad a couple weeks ago," Nelson said. "[It's] kinda unfortunate. I was really looking forward to working out today, but, you know, it just couldn't happen today. I'm going to have a private workout set up April 4 either before or after SMU's Pro Day, right around that DFW area. So, hopefully I can get all the worked that I missed in today, you know, then."
Anyone else watch the vids on soonersports, or see the photos and think that Landry looked like a butterball? That boy's got himself a gut.
