Jared thing is hard to square with the no-carbs thing of a couple years ago.....where a bacon-cheddar ranch wrap is not making you fat but a Jared turkey 6 inch is?

City Bites overdoes their breads and serving sizes. Same as Quizno's. Quizno's gives you way too much bread and very little meat. The bread to meat ratio at Subway is perfect. You get the unlimited amount of veggies you want and overall, it's a lot healthier and better for you.
For me, it's Subway all the way.

McAlester's Sub is the awesome. It has the right amount of everything and is so expensive you don't usually have to wait in line with all of those healthnuts who think Jared is dead sexy. :D ;)

Pretty much all of those sandwich places are good. Just depends on what kind of mood you are in. I like Jersey Mike's as well.

I think Jersey Mike's is by far the best sub place around. Very high quality but pricey. Pretty much any sub place is better than Subway.

If you prefer high carbs (all bread) over meat then yes, anywhere but Subway is the place for you.
Although they don't serve hot subs, Jimmy John's is also good quality. Their sourdough bread is thick but the flavor meshes well with anything you get inside it.
Jimmy John's and Subway for the win!!!
Jersey Mike's, Quizno's= FAIL!

I think quiznos can suck do to the lack of one store not being as good as another. Here in Tulsa there was one that makes a really good Angus Beef Sub and another one that makes decent Torpedo Subs.
They are building a Schlotsky's near the house right now that will kill any ideas of weightloss. It isn't open yet so I didn't have to give it up for Lent. :D

If I'm gonna eat a sandwich from a chain it'll either be Jersey Mike's (get the Big Kahuna - I guarantee it doesn't "taste like bread") or Pot Belly. Pot Belly ain't that great, but they offer a deal where they'll trim 1/3 of the bread off the roll and their sammiches are hot.
Also, whoever said Subway doesn't have "big bread" is FOS. They've got just as much - or more than any other sub joint. Hell, the ends of a Subway look like the big end of a baseball bat. All bread.
For a good sub in Norman it's Penny Hill though. Sometime Gourmet Deli.

I read on Yahoo that Subway just passed McDonald's for most locations worldwide. They have 33,000+ locations. Those Subway people must be poor as hell.

I would have to rank the sub places:
1) Jersey Mike's
2) Jimmy John's
3) Penny Hill
4) City Bites
5) Gourmet Deli
6) Goodcents
7) Quizno's
8) Subway

I don't mind Quiznos or Schlotzky's, and JimmyJohn's is pretty good for a simple sub.
I would eat pickled dog **** before eating at Subway.

Normally we hit Blimpies or Subway, both of which I just superstack my sub because they're too much bread.
Otherwise I refer this place called Greek Tony's. Long wait, but worth it. Their sandwiches are huge and tasty.

I like Schlotzky's too. But I always get the jalapeņo and BBQ chicken pizza on the sourdough crust. Good stuff.
I only still enter Subways because they are endorsed by Blake. They are far inferior to most other places.

I don't really consider Schlotsky's a sub shop. They make sandwich things.

I was going you say that, not many people probably remembered that. And Mr. Rodgers was the grand marshall. Not the hawt part though, that's strange...
