DeMarco announced on his twitter page that he was one of four players being considered to be on the cover of the EA Sports video game. He says voting will start tomorrow.

Well hopefully someone will post a link. I do find it annoying that they do the voting exclusively through facebook. Everytime you "like" a page or become a fan you send out more marketing info!

DeMarco Murray fans, log on to Facebook and warm up your video game console.

Murray, the erstwhile OU running back, is one of four candidates to appear on the cover of next year’s EA Sports NCAA Football ’12.

Former Alabama running back Mark Ingram, ex-Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley and recent Washington quarterback Jake Locker are the others up for the honor.

Voting begins Monday, March 7, and runs through April 4.

Fans can find the EA Sports page on Facebook and then “like” their favorite players’ page. Only one vote per day is allowed, but fans can vote every day and can also post the link or even start a Facebook group to encourage others to vote.

The winner will be announced April 19 on ESPN’s “First Take”.

Murray is one of the most popular Sooners in recent years. A four-year co-starter from Las Vegas, Murray last season became OU’s all-time leader in career points, touchdowns and all-purpose yards.

Going up against stars from Alabama and Auburn, however, gives Sooner fans a chance to show just how popular Murray really is. Ingram has to be considered the favorite, though Fairley’s performance during Auburn’s national championship run makes him a strong contender as well. Locker? Like him trying to score against OU in their 2008 meeting in Seattle . . . not gonna happen.

I think it's for all the platforms. (PS3, X-BOX 360, Wii)

Here's how I see the vote distribution…

West coast- most votes for Locker
East/south east- split between Fairley and Ingram
North/north east- Ingram because he won the Heisman

That leaves the central region. I'm assuming that OK votes for Murray and maybe some scattered votes throughout the surrounding areas. That's why I'm devoting my spring break to nonstop voting for DeMarco.

Meh, everyone in the Big 12 is jealous of us. Texas will vote against DeMarco just to spite us. Same for jealous Poke haters. Aggie will vote for the S-E-C! S-E-C! candidates because they so desperately wish that they were cool enough to be considered S-E-C (but after the Cotton Bowl I think we all can clearly see that they aren't).
