Mrs. THA is a BIG fan... I watch it, I like it, but to me it is disturbing in its reality.

It's pretty accurate in it's description, the lingo and day-to-day experiences. I kinda dig them including the cop with the pain killer addiction. Quite a few cops and firefighters get stuck in a rut trying to do a job and stay functional.

And to top it off, he is gay, NTTAWWT. It is extremely intense, not something I am looking for in escapism when I watch TV. Agree with your assessment on the show.

It's one of my favorite shows on tv now. We started watching it when it was on nbc and got hooked then. Great show, great acting. I've liked the painkiller addict since he played Bull in band of brothers.

I like that they use real gang bangers and cops as actors/extras.
