And one of them, Pat Dye Jr, was handcuffed. At least we now know in his case the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. His dad was good at breaking rules too....

What I'm curious about is why Indy police were involved. Sounds like a violation of purely private rules. At most, this was trespassing. And he was cuffed after he left the private area?
How many times would you expect the popo's to cuff a guy who cut across the corner of your yard.....after he'd walked on down the block?

Pat Dye, Jr. is one of the agents who was cuffed, detained at Scouting Combine

On Saturday, rumors were rampant that two agents were cuffed and detained the day before in a restricted area at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

We didn’t name names, and for good reason. One of the agents vehemently denied involvement during multiple phone conversations. The other agent could not be reached for comment. After specifically denying any incident involving the unnamed agent who denied involvement, the league eventually clammed up completely, refusing to respond to any further inquiries.

Our buddy Brooks of SportsByBrooks.com reports that Pat Dye, Jr. and Jimmy Section “broke NFL rules by attending NFL combine activities in person on Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium thanks to passes obtained from event sponsor Under Armour.”

Brooks said that Dye was cuffed, detained, and removed. Per Brooks, Sexton left before Dye was apprehended.

We continue to hear that a second agent was cuffed and detained.

If I was DeMarco and Julio I would probably choose another agent to represent them.

As the son of a former professional football player and College Football Hall of Fame coach, Pat Dye Jr. has been around football literally since birth. Consequently, he saw first hand the price football players must pay to have a professional career. Unfortunately, he also saw players routinely misguided by incompetent and unscrupulous agents. Seeing these misfortunes inspired him to become a sports attorney.

After graduating from law school among the top five students in his class, Pat combined a lifelong background in football with his legal training and was instantly successful as a sports attorney. After more than 20 years in his profession, he has established a reputation, even among competitors for being professional, honest, and very effective. He has negotiated more than a billion dollars in NFL contracts, a total that grows daily. He has impacted the career of numerous star players, many of whom were first round NFL draft choices. The landmark results he has achieved for his clients have been chronicled by Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Fox Sports, NFL Network, USA Today, The Sporting News, Pro Football Weekly, numerous other publications and newspapers in every NFL city. Above and beyond his success and recognition, however, Pat still cherishes his close personal relationship with each client more than anything.

With a reputation for integrity that is unique to the profession, major universities frequently call on him to address players on the pitfalls of choosing an agent. His professional expertise is so highly regarded that he is often asked to lecture at sports law seminars. His family's presence in football for more than 50 years has also provided Pat with countless contacts and extraordinary relationships around the NFL.

In sum, with a track record that is unsurpassed in his profession, an impeccable reputation for integrity, and a great concern for each client's well being, Pat is the ideal representative for today's NFL player.

Tresspassing....???

What else would they be guilty of? From the perspective of the Indy Police? They didn't violate any other law that I can see.

According to the article, "When contacted about the incident involving Dye, Jr. and Sexton, a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department acknowledged that an incident involving Indianapolis law enforcement did occur during the NFL combine, but that no arrest was made."

I think the courts might disagree on whether an individual who is handcuffed and removed from the premises is arrested or not.
