We all know the '04 game, and AD's heroics. This is one of Charles(Bud, the Stud) Wilkinson's routine gimmees during the 47 game win streak. It's a short, highlight video, of the 1955 hammering on the pore whorns.

Bud would regularly put in the entire second team. The saying back then was that which team is the best, OU's first team or their second team. Also, the players would play both offense and defense. It would be 3 more years before Prentice Gautt would be OU's first black player.(and, longer than that before the cows started using black players) ENJOY!

56 was better.

i heard Bud once say that the st was about 6 pts. better than the 2nd.

he substituted like that due to the funny rules of the day.

Two funny things from that clip. One, I didn't realize the officials had a different signal for a touchdown back then. Looks like they just extended one arm straight out. Also, were the goal posts made out of two by fours? Those couldn't have been hard to bring down.
