Lott, you aren't a true fan. You have to buy a ticket and be inside the stadium for that title! ;)

Howzit bruddah!

I grew up in Norman...sitting on the green bleachers next to Memorial Stadium. The Berm has become somewhat of a Normanite tradition, as well as a place where the beer is cheaper and the scenery...well.

Wasn't it a grand Opening Day?! Whouda thunk it last week?

I sadly couldn't go due to work, but I'll be there tomorrow. Jealous of all that got to make it. And I think it's great for those that sit out on the berm.

Was VERY impressed with the crowd, inside and out. Thought the berms were busier today than they have been in a long time (regular season, that is).

If today was any indication, the pitch clock and new bats are gonna seriously reduce game length, which is fine by me. A lot of our home run hitters from last season just have warning track power now.

I think we may see the best crowds we've had in a long, long time this year. Getting to Omaha was great for exposure both locally and nationally.

As for the pitch clock, I think we'll still see some loooooong games. Remember, the clock is only used with no one on base. Once baserunners are on, the pitcher (and hitter) can take as long as they please to deliver.

Today's game went quickly because there were few baserunners, thus, the clock was on a bunch and it sped up the game.
