for the President of the United States, who would you vote for? It cant be Ozzy Osborne. :D

It has to be someone who is in the news as thinking about, or being thought of, as a real candidate. :)

I thought this was going to be an American Idol thread. Turns out it's about something I know even less about. I'd vote for the Solo/Chewbaka ticket...

I'll give the board's matriarch a serious answer: Gov. Christie of New Jersey. He'd at least be fun to listen to, if not a tough leader.

Here's the deal: I can't think of any legitimate candidate I really like. I refuse to sit out and not vote; but dayum! there are really no good candidates out there.

Not that I wont change my mind, especially if he doesn't even run, but right now at this very moment, I would go with Chris Christie.

Wrong board. :D ...but I would vote for Stoops too, even over Christie.

I gave a serious answer? So did DIB, sorta.

Since Virginia has an open primary system, I'd vote for Sarah Palin. But in the general election, I'd vote for Barack Hussein Obama.

No, I want the President to win all fifty states.

No, I want the President to win all fifty states. Obama didn't even get one precinct in Oklahoma. Not one. Not even in Oklahoma's own Little Dixie. :D

I doubt anyone running against him would change that.

I knew he didn't win any counties but not one precinct? That sounds a little far fetched particularly where black precincts would be involved.

The only one qualified. Right now there doesn't seem to be anyone that's man or woman enough to say they are ready to be a leader.

Mama,

Your question is premature.

The Dem nominee will be Mr Obama, but my guess is that the GOP nominee is not yet in the race.

Therefore, nobody can really answer your question. Who we vote for is entirely dependent on who can we choose from. And since the field is not established, the list of possibiities is endless.

Right now, everybody not inclined to vote for Obama is thinking about their ideal candidate. He/she will not emerge, and we'll all eventually have to pick from the choices available.

Once the field is winnowed to a manageable number of viable Republicans, we'll learn more and choose.

All that said, for right at this time, I'd probably put either Gov Christie (I don't know much about him..) or Cong Eric Cantor on my ballot.

The new SC governor is also a good possibility.
