Good pickup for my Boys. Other than the entire secondary they need upgrades at the linebacker spot so Mike has a pretty good shot to stick around.

I hope that the Cowboys draft Carter we need a real safety back there; because Ball is not cutting it.

Dallas needs help on the offensive line and secondary.

A lot of Mock drafts have Dallas taking the CB from Nebraska Amukamara.

Dallas Cowboys fans that love OU will like this. It seems like after the 1st round does anyone really have any idea how it plays out though?

I would be thrilled with that pick and checkout the Rams 4th round pick. The only problem is there is no way he will be there, most likely in the 2nd or 3rd at the latest. It would be effing sweet though!!!!!

Yeah Cowboys could use some depth at ILB. Brady James isn't getting younger. Brooking is old. Sean Lee has some upside and will probably see more time next season. Balogun will have to prove he can be useful on special teams if he is going to stick though. Hope it works out for him.

i cannot or will not ever root for mthe cowgirls.

Agreed. I've never understood how anyone from Oklahoma can root for the Dallas Cowboys. As far as I'm concerned, the Cowboys are all wrapped up in that Texas/UT/Dallas area arrogance..

I would defiantly want Amukamara or Peterson over Carter if im the Cowboys.

Balogun will make the team and become a big playmaker, including making walk-off pick-sixes in overtime, but over time the (substanial) portion of the cowboy fanbase that overlaps with the typical *********-orangebloods.com-UT fan will push some bull**** conventional wisdom that Balogun can't kick field goals or scout prospects good enough and then he'll fall out of favor and go play for the Bengals with a coach who knows how to use him correctly.

To each their own, I guess. If you grew up in southern Oklahoma, it always seemed more like rooting for the "area" team than a Texas team. Heck, I grew up closer to Dallas than Austin folks did.

I am not a fanatic about the Cowboys or any NFL team, FWIW. But I also remember there were lots of OU guys who played there dating back to the 60's. And, the next-closest teams to Oklahoma in my youth were in St. Louis and Kansas City, and I know that those folks in Missouri (and eastern Kansas, in the case of KC) hate OU about as much as Texans do.

It is what it is. I am a craddle Cowboys fan, and I was born in Oklahoma City at OU medical center in 1987.

I hope he makes plays, makes a lot of money, and makes a good life for himself, all while his team loses every single game until the end of time.
