Josh Heupel's option play in the Big 12 title game. Seriously Josh Heupel had an option play?

The run against Tulsa at around 1:35 stands out in my memory.

I LOVE the fake punt against Alabama...the receiver was Michael Thompson, who was so severly injured in a car crash three years earlier that they thought he may never walk again.

Right up there is Renaldo Work's shovel pass and run against Alabama in 2002...a season saver for sure.

it's hard not to love that shovel pass

it wasn't even for a TD, but it changed that whole game

what a horrible day it would have not been if it hadn't happened

it's not like it was called that way, but the bobbled catch TD against the Pokes Mark Bradley made in 2004 was a thing of beauty

(about 20 seconds in)

the view from the student section was a bit better :D

of course the 80 yard AD run about a minute in was a classic as well

^^^^^^^^^^ THIS. The Works shovel pass was my first thought. Then, it would be the first time I saw Heupel throw and I knew we had an O, again.

One of AD's first plays against texass during his fr. year. They did that mis-direction pitch and he went for about 40. It was a beautiful thing.

The play right after the fake punt. 45-50 yard bomb from White to Brandon Jones. GUTSHOT for the win.

I think it changed the whole season. I really do.

We just lost our starting QB (again). We had lost our last home game (OSU 2001), and we looked in dis-array. Alabama had not only closed on our huge lead we had going into the half with, they had taken the lead and had all the momentum.

Antwon Savage made a great play to pick up the first down, and Renaldo had just caught another huge shovel pass for us just prior to his run to the 8 yard line.

I honestly believe if we lose that game, we lose one or two more games that year and we don't go to the Big Twelve Championship or Rose Bowl.

The fake punt TD to Hunter Wall against KSU in 2001 was the single greatest play I've ever seen in football.

Have we run this since that season?

Salt City Sooner

Since I can't count to a couple :) & have nothing better to do:

1999- Thornton "ninjeeing" (God bless ya, BBS :) ) the crud out of A&M for an entire drive. Also a hook & ladder (Jackson to Savage, IIRC) in that game.

2000- Works' run vs. UTEP
Q had an AWESOME run vs. Rice that gets lost in the shuffle of that year.

3rd & 26 in Manhattan

Not an individual play, but Trent Smith abusing Jarrod Cooper so badly in the CCG that by the end of that game he could've been wearing the "thug" moniker himself.

2001- Nate having the flat-out guts to stand there & get blasted play after play vs. KSU for the sake of making the throw.

JW to Trent Smith x 4 in Lawrence

2002- Nate's 2nd quarter vs. Bama (the best in his OU career, IMO). If he doesn't come off the bench ready to go that day, Work's later heroics do nothing but reduce Bama's margin of victory.

Hey 'horns! We're going to run the smoke draw again now, & there's STILL nothing you can do to stop it!

Q's run vs. Tech.

2003- end around pass by Bradley vs. OSU

2004- White to Bradley in College Station

2005- AD's TD run vs. Tulsa
AD breaking 2 long ones for TD's vs. OSU

2006- Thompson to Kelly for 40 yds. & a score 10 seconds before halftime vs. Tech was CLUTCH. It brought OU to within 7 in a game that Tech was threatening to run away & hide in.

It came back on a hold, but that PS2 run by Patrick @ College Station

2007- Halzle to Tennell to hang half a hundred on the 'canes excorcised a few demons.

Murray's run in Dallas.

Patrick running for 2 bills vs. OSU

2008- Manny vs. the 'frogs
Manny's bomb vs. Tech
The Flip in Stillwater
Madu's run in KC to make it 5 straight 60+ pt. games

2009- Murray's catch & flip score vs. Tulsa
Murray's cross-field screen TD vs. A&M
Jones to Broyles about a gazillion times vs. Stanford

2010-Broyles had a schweet sluggo route for a TD vs. FSU

Murray's tightrope act in Dallas

Jones to Stills on the wheel route in Dallas, couldn't have walked down & handed Kenny the ball any better.

Broyles record setting day vs. CU

Jones to Stills vs. TTU (gonna spike that ball again Kenny? :) )

Finch's sick Q imitation vs. Baylor

Jones to Stills on the post vs. NU was huge. The O had been totally sleepwalking to that point.

Jones to Kenney on the bomb vs. UConn. Nice to see CK go out on a big note.

Wow. I'm trippin' -- an OU video set to "An Cat Dubh" ... wow.

Sorry ... just reveling in a time long ago when U2 was still Irish.

5. The fake field goal for a TD against Mizzou in Columbia in 2002. That was the first OU game my daughter ever saw with me.

4. Antonio Perkins' three punt returns for TD's against UCLA in 2003. Those weren't offensive calls of course but it was still awesome to watch.

3. AD's 25 yard run for a TD in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. It was AD's final carry as a Sooner (plus AD's last carry for a TD in Norman against ISU).

2. The entire 99 yard drive against the Bugeaters in the 2006 Big 12 Championship Game. We were there at Arrowhead screaming our heads off.

1. Q's TD run in the National Championship Game. That carry sealed the deal.

Renaldo Works run against Alabama when the chips were down, 2002.

I was into complete meltdown at this point, head buried in a sofa cushion when I heard my wife and daughter screaming. What a relief.

I thought he said all that stuff after the 2003 game...my bad.

And I knew the before comment as well. Just can't remember his interview after the 2003 game for some reason.
