A couple of these MJF jokes are insulting. I had a mother-in-law die of complications of Parkinson's and I don't find this to be a funny matter at all.

Any one of us could wake up tomorrow with early symptoms of Parkinson's. Even if not this disease, some of us will at some point develop some type of severe debilitating disease. It's not really something to laugh about.

You are right. They are disgusting. I have lost two really good friends to Parkinson's, a disease that traps a perfectly good mind in an out-of-control body.

You are right. They are disgusting. I have lost two really good friends to Parkinson's, a disease that traps a perfectly good mind in an out-of-control body.

Sometimes, and in my MIL's case, Parkinson's can cause pretty severe dementia as well. She was pretty late stage when I met her and it was a surprise to me. Up to this point, my knowledge of Parkinson's is from Ali's experience and it was always said that he was still mentally very sharp even if he could no longer express it.

One other thing I didn't know was that Parkinson's can kill. Fox is young enough and was diagnosed at an early enough age that this disease will probably be what takes his life. One way this happens is by choking. It's not a pleasant thought at all.

Hope I didn't bum you out. I just wanted to point out that this is a serious disease that shouldn't be laughed at. I'll let you guys go on discussing how great a move Back to the Future was...

Fine, the cancer comic strip above was kind of funny. I lost my mom to cancer two years ago (yesterday actually) and those comic strips make me laugh.

Laughing at the affects a disease has on someone is not the same thing. That is a personal attack on the person.
