Letter to OU Fans From Coach Capel

Men's basketball coach urges caution while traveling to today's 2 p.m. game against Baylor.

Sooner Fans:
I hope you are staying warm and safe during the Blizzard of 2011. As you know, we postponed last night's game with Baylor due to the current weather situation and in the interest of the safety of our students, student-athletes and fans.
We have moved the game to 2 p.m. today and everyone can attend the game for free. We selected this time so fans can travel to and from the game in daylight. If you can attend, we do need your support to help us keep our winning momentum against a very good Baylor squad. With schools closed today, there is the opportunity to get out of the house or dorm room for a free afternoon of Big 12 hoops. OU students, help us make an impact in the Big 12 with a loud, vocal crowd in the LNC. We will heat up the floor and continue to play tough Sooner Basketball.
I want to reiterate the importance of being safe if you are going to travel to the arena today. Please bundle up, take plenty of time to travel, drive slowly and if at any time during your travel you feel you cannot continue, please return home. Let others know you are traveling and contact them when you have safely arrived at the LNC.
