I'm snowed in here in Tulsa. Probably won't be able to leave the house for a few days so I'm going to come up with some discussion topics to keep from going crazy.

HAHA...Well we are going to get two feet up here in Chicago area sheesh. I just moved up here and winter up here is way fierce compaired to an Oklahoma winter. I would have to say that all around the 2004 squad to me was better. They were excellent pass protectors, but also good at getting off the ball and run blocking, and how can you forget J.D. Runnels leading the way out of the hole. The 2008 line was excellent, but you had a lot of inconsistency in the run game with zone blocking and getting off the football.

I'm including the 2004 line over the 2003 line because Stoops was quoted that year as saying it was the best he had ever had even though we scored more points in 2003.

Not to be a downer, but one thing I remember about both those lines is that they did not perform very well against [__________] or Florida. I suppose the '08 line deserves the nod for handling Florida's line better than the 2004 line handled [__________].

The '08 line was better.

didn't the Sooners have two (2) 1,000 yard rushers in '08? Am I remembering correctly?

I have to give the nod to the 08 line just based on the eyeball test. I've never seen an OL collapse defensive lines like they could. They just steamrolled teams. Bradford had 20 minutes to throw the ball. The 04 line had two future Pro Bowlers (Brown, Joseph) which is pretty impressive.

As an anecdote, I had a class with Davin Joseph in 04. Real nice guy, quiet, sat in the back.

didn't 08 break all kinds of offensive stat records?

04, jamaal brown all pro, davin joseph all pro

that team had a freshman run for almost 2,000 yards and ran a traditional offense. nothing gimicky and they just mowed people over.
