That kid from Euless committed to Baylor is a player. I would really like to see him at OU.

The biggest thing Baylor has to offer is playing time... but then again, that's something we give out to freshmen who deserve it en masse.

So really, does Baylor have anything to offer that OU doesn't? Hmmm...

1- Baptist affiliation.
2- Being located in Texas.
3- Fresh Dr. Pepper.
4- Gold helmets.

Think...think...

5- A live mascot that will eat you.
6- An off-campus stadium.
7- A school not subject to Open Records Requests due to private affiliation.

Think harder...

8- An inflatable mascot.
9- Lots of leg room for your parents in the stadium during home games.
10- A coach named 'Art'

What are the chances we actually land one of these guys?

50 percent, because we'll either land them or we won't. ;)

They have a really cool parking garage that they are really proud of. Of course it is off limits to students.

no, no, deanos wrong. Let's look at the statistics one more time, shall we?

50 percent chance we land guy #1.

50 percent chance we land guy #2.

50 percent plus 50 percent is 100 percent! There is a 100 percent chance we land both guys!

(for any opposing fans lurking, please slap yourself on the head for me before you link this thread if you take any of this seriously... but we are definitely stealing your recruits, so if this distracts you all long enough to make the stealing easily, please, take this as seriously as you want)

No...no...no. There's an 80% chance they won't switch to OU. The 50-50-80 rule states that when faced with choosing between two options you will chose the wrong option 80% of the time. It applies to every 50-50 situation.

For example, if you are at the grocery store and have to choose between two check out lanes you will chose the slowest lane 80% of the time.

That's why you should never go with any of JLEW's sports bets.

This whole thread makes me again think of Bob's "attrition" statement. With the great news of Noble's return and the pick up of this young man, it makes me think, again, of who that might be. With getting a new DB, it makes me think that a guy like Lamar Harris might be gone. I don't think that we will have any defectors from QB, OL, or LB. Most likely, it will a combo of an RB (likely Calhoun), a WR (likely Reynolds), and a DB (again, likely L. Harris). If we get the OL, that would put us three over. Thoughts?

I like it when we get these late additions.

First, our class has been mostly locked up for months, so some different news breaks the monotany for us fanatics.

More importantly, I think when the coaches decide this late in the period to go after somebody hard, they have had ample time to evaluate. I think the prospects for success are greater in these cases, even when the number of stars isn't that high. We don't have much room to add people right now, so the guys we give these last ships to must have impressed the coaches quite a bit.

It would be interesting to research how the late period commits have fared over Stoops tenure. Broyles and Hurst come to mind as recent shining examples.
