Crap. I'm supposed to fly tomorrow morning from DC to San Francisco. Right now it's sleeting/snowing like a sumbitch, they sent us all home from work early today (if you've ever been jammed into a subway train with a brazillion other wet people like sardines then you can empathize), and they're calling for another 4-6 inches tonight. Anyhow, wish me luck getting out of this hellhole. If anybody wants to pick up momma she'll be waiting at the San Francisco airport if'n I don't make it.

Update:

I can't get out of DC today, so I'm on a 7:10 flight tomorrow morning - DC to St. Louis, St. Louis to LA, LA to San Francisco. At least the ****ers upgraded me the whole way to 1st class.

To add insult to injury, momma called me this morning all bent outta shape. She thought her flight was supposed to leave OKC at 8:35 - but she was actually reading the arrival time into DFW. So, she misses her flight. To put her on the next flight, the bastards at AA wanted an additional $489. She told them to cram, and now she's on a 5 pm flight that gets her into San Francisco at 11 pm.

Shoulda just blown the whole damn thing off.

So how's ya'll's day going so far?

Dude,

We don't forgoe birthdays/anniversaries/Christmas/Valentine's/etc. for a POS overrated I&O cheeseburger. We'll do lunch in Chinatown and dinner somewhere Italian/seafoody in North Beach.

Although I think after this trip's snafu, I may resort to buying ****ing presents again.

I would love to take your mom to The French Laundry.......I really would. But they have a rule about having to wear a shirt when you go there. And when I am with your mom, I cant get her to keep her clothes on.

But thanks for taking mom, I keep trying to get her to post here.

We ate at a Morrocan place last night in San Francisco. Family style with your fingers, belly dancers, the whole deal. I ate bits and pieces of maybe a half-dozen aggy girlfriends last night, along with some rabbit, chicken, and a buttload of eggplant/couscous/chick peas and some other **** I couldn't really identify. It were gooood.
