Gave hogs vaginal infection
GREENWOOD - Authorities said a man who was caught having sex with show hogs will have his case presented to the Leflore County Grand Jury next month. Andrew Lee Nash, 52, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2010 after police set up surveillance cameras in the owner's stalls near U.S. Highway 82 and the Yazoo River.
Greenwood Police Chief Henry Purnell said the hogs were examined by a local veterinarian, during a routine examination, and the owner was told that four of the hogs had a vaginal infection.
"The owner of the animals knew someone was messing with his animals," said Chief Investigator Huntley Nevels. "And the veterinarian confirmed the sexual assault. So, the owner contacted police and the officers staked it out and caught him out there."
Nash, who lives in the 700 block of Mississippi Avenue, was arrested at the scene and charged with 12 counts of unnatural intercourse.
Nash's bond was initially set at $600,000, but later reduced to $60,000.
Nash remains in custody at the Leflore County jail.
Greenwood authorities said Nash's case is scheduled to be presented before the Leflore County Grand Jury next month. If Nash is indicted and found guilty, he faces up to 120 years in jail.

Oh well, just think, next time you're eating some bacon or ham it very well might have been marinated internally with some LeFlore County's very own "Nasty Nash's Nutjuice." I heard olevet was gonna start selling it along with the OVJ.

What is intersting to me is that the veterinarian found a vagina on a hog. A sow perhaps, but I never knew that hogs had vaginas.

I'm curious what our resident libertarians think about this? I think we can all agree that the pig doesn't really give a crap. I doubt they have emotional damage or anything. From a libertarian perspective is this more of a case of destruction of private property or do you draw a line at beastiality?

Part of me thinks that I'm just glad this guy picked pigs instead of little girls. The other part of me thinks this is a huge warning sign about this guy's potential to harm other humans.

I agree but the public health angle does sort of go against many libertarian's beliefs. That's especially true when you talk about mandatory vaccinations, etc.

I have a feeling that everyone has a little libertarian in them and every hard core libertarian has limits. Libertarians won't admit it but the difference isn't about pure philosophical differences as much as where you draw the line.

Well, our society is freaked out by sex anyway, so you're probably right. However, that's the most important reason. Otherwise, I could watch gorilla/BBW gangbang pron without feeling so guilty.

By definition, the pig cannot consent. And I am certain that the owner did not consent. Perhaps my brand of Libertarian philosophy is skewed, but I think consenting adults should be able to do whatever they want as long as it does not unduly infringe on the rights of others. A pig is not a consenting adult, sex with animals can spread disease (the Onion taught me that that's where AIDS came from) and it is destruction of public property.

I guess where "morality" comes in to the equations is whether you think a pig can (or needs to) consent to sex.
