Head a little ways south to Hilton Head Island, and really enjoy yourself.

You're welcome.

Eat some she crab soup.

Would love to go on one of the black history tours of the area, esp the coastal areas that were used as rice fields by the freedmen after the Civil War.

This. Myrtle is the last beach I'd pick to go to in South Carolina

Aren't there a **** ton of mosquitos around the Carolina beaches in the summer?

Go eat at T-Bones in Murrell's Inlet. Not to be confused with TBonz.

I have been there twice for family vacations. You can't go wrong with golf and if you want a particular course then go with Long Bay's Jack Nicklaus' signature course.

The Hard Rock Cafe is also pretty cool since it's a golden pyramid.

Hotel we stayed in was called the Caravelle. It's a great place to be.

Not really, especially Myrtle Beach since there aren't many wetlands around. Or maybe I just ignore the mosquitoes :D but I don't think they are a problem. Maybe in North Carolina

Are you wanting crowds? Mosquitos aren't a problem at the beach but can be in the evenings more inland. They tend to get real bad in Sept-Oct.

I can give you a lot of tips on resorts if you tell me what you're looking for.

Yeah I knew NC because my cousin went on vacation there and had a terrible time because of the mosiquitos on the beach. Probably what I was thinking.

Golf > beach > eat seafood > get red as a lobster!
