I think he should blame his time in Utah. Seeing as how they're so into porn and all that.

I'd hate to hear the details with who if he were a Navy officer...

Was it just because of adultry or was it because they were subordinates in the Air Force under him (no pun intended)?

Adultery is still a crime under the UCMJ. As it should be. People who are forced to be away from home for long stretches need to know there are severe penalties for guys who get caught doing other guys' wives. It's worse if the person you're doing is a subordinate.

The thing is, if convicted, and it looks like he will be since he has confessed, it's a felony. And that wil leave a mark. Even after he gets out of Leavenworth.

About damn time marriage was taken seriously. Probably be a lot less divorces if this was the case throughout the country. Even better, maybe a whole lot less marriages in the first place.

I remember my Navy days and the time the newly minted Lt. Commander had a fling with his E-5 secretary. I gotta tell ya: the old man was not happy!

Thanks for the explanation. I have no problem with it.

In this case he was their "boss" so I see a bit of an issue but in most adultery situations it takes both parties to make the decision to have teh sex. Holding only one party to blame is stupid. It's also pretty stupid that it's actually even a crime when two adults decide to have sex with each other, to many circumstances to make it just a blanket "crime".

I'm not against adultery being a legal offense, as it should be, but looks like he's in trouble for sexual perversion while on duty, using government computers and cell phones. He's not being investigated for cheating on his wife, but for breaking Air Force rules.
