They're looking good right now. Colorado playing like the old CU is helping.
And it seems like there is actually a decent crowd there.

i thought we played good defense. offense was. ehhhh.

i thought the refs helped us out some at times. with a couple minutes left, Blair got trapped after a CU made bucket, turned the ball over. CU guy went up for a shot and Blair "stripped" it. Ball bounces towards halfcourt, we get an easy bucket. I thought that was a blatant foul on Blair. Also one of those fouls towards the end when Pledger got trapped in the backcourt and got fouled looked like a gift as well.

But ill take it! We played hard defense, and made enough plays to win the game. easily our best win of the year

Honestly I think today was as much about Colo not showing up to play as anything we did but I'll happily take the W. I had feared that TT was going to be the answer to the trivia question "Who did Oklahoma beat for their one conference win in 2010-11"?

My expectations are pretty low but maybe we can squeak out 2-3 more wins.

There are two things that will allow OU to compete: all five starters can score and this team knows how to play defense. We didn't get blown out at Texas and the Horns beat KU in Lawrence. We may do better in conference play than anyone expected.

Props to Cade Davis, he played his *** off. Too bad Capel has destroyed the program and Cade has to go out on two consecutive losing seasons with NCAA sanctions looming.

I can't explain how proud I was when the clock counted down to 0.00 as our Sooners ran off the court in victory. Despite all of the criticism they've gotten over the course of the season, they have played hard and haven't given up. We may not win many more games this season, but it's way more fun to see a group that plays like a team and cares about each other than what we had out there last year. Whatever our future record may be, I'll be there every game to cheer them on.

In all fairness, he was a freshman playing behind guys who are now in the NBA I believe. Could be wrong, but I think that's the case. There are way too many people expecting him to be the savior, as evidenced when I glanced at the OUHoops board. He's super athletic, but I'm not expecting him to come in and average 20 and 10 right off the bat. But that would be nice.

I just wanna be on record and say that I really do think Osby is going to come in and do some really good things for us. I think what's really going to be interesting is our lineup for next year. Osby is listed at 6'8 225, but he plays like a 3 instead of a 4. I guess he just might be a really versatile 4 instead of a prototypical one.

Here's some ewetube vidz of him for anyone interested....

I think he'll probably be pretty good for us. I just don't buy him being some kind of savior to our program by himself. I truly could see this team being an NCAA Tournament team as soon as next year, but it wouldn't be just because Osby stepped in. Osby is supposed to be a 3 or 4 type player, right? Moving forward, those will be our two best positions with Cam and Fitz. Sure, we could try to make Fitz the 5, but it won't work very well. He's not nearly good enough as a rebounder. If we make a remarkable turnaround (which I actually think is plausible) it won't just be because of some guy like Osby coming in. It'll be more about getting a quality point guard (whether that means Newell or Blair developing or bringing in somebody completely new like Guerrero), Pledger becoming more consistent, Cam continuing to develop (I am most confident of this), Fitz developing as a rebounder, and somebody like Goff coming in as a big-time rebounder/low post defender.

Yes, Peter Mayhew and at halftime they showed him and some woman dressed in white by him. First Holtus called the woman Princess Leia and then after a pause called her an ewok.

i thought the refs helped us out some at times.

But like you pointed out...we didn't get any extra free throws. I couldn't believe it when they gave him 3 free throws. It wasn't even close. I think his entire foot might've been inside the 3-point line. Brutal.
