It really is incredible. They hadn't played a show in 3 years, had to roll Layne's corpse out of the closet, and they absolutely killed it.

I was having a party and there was a guy I didn't know, I think one of my roomates friends who was going on and on saying this exact same thing. I told him I don't care because both suck, but he wouldn't listen. Walked by later after getting away from him and he was trying to convience the gangster looking black guy sitting next to him on the couch the same thing. I'd bet good money the black guy cared even less than me, I bet he didn't even know who the two bands were...

Nirvana and Alice in chains both suck. Nickelback is just good simple hard drivin' rock n roll. No frills or deep thought needed.

Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were the only bands of that era/genre I could listen to, the rest not so much.

I had not listened to it in years but recently rediscovered it and have been listening to it non-stop since. Some of that grunge era material hasn't aged well, but AIC definitely has.

i don't think i've spent enough time with the PJ or AIC unplugged albums

this is probably not a good thing

i doubt i could pick a favorite though. they are all from my high school years and too interwoven with memories from the time
