i'm serious. taxes were still WAY high in the 60's from WWII

and i don't really run in liberal circles much. when did they dump JFK? other than allegedly banging Norman Jean and the Bay of Pigs, i'm not too familiar with much criticism of him

You pine for seeing The Beatles live. This is a noble and lofty wish. Pining for JFK is like pining for Obama. Just another tool (albeit a much more honest/sober/righteous/Catholic/American tool) that the left marches out as their saviour. Depends on how the Middle East turns out in 20 or 30 years. If that place is stable and not the cluster **** it is now, maybe not.


W made some mistakes, nobody will argue that certainly not I, but you lose ever ounce of crediblity with the Carter call. That guy was the biggest joke of a President ever.

Kennedy & congress lowered the top marginal tax rate from 90% to 70%. The current top marginal tax rate is 35%, so I guess Kennedy was twice as left as Obama as measured by top marginal tax rates.

The left, by the way, was never big on Kennedy. He was more of a centrist donk. The left would have preferred Humphrey nominated in 60. I recall in Oklahoma though, Kennedy was viewed to the left of Satan since he was Catholic.
