They already know about our Sooner Schooner and team colors. We're screwed anyway.

I pity the player who lets fans decide how much torture he should endure during practices.

Are they just now figuring out their huge, out of shape S&C coach wasn't cutting it? I mean this would be the same as seeing a skinny chef.

I will say this, I really like their new S&C guy. Of all the coaching replacements they've made recently, I think this one is by far the best one they've managed to bring in. Having a morbidly obese person anywhere near the running of your strength and conditioning program can't be a positive influence.

Wait until a couple of players tweak a hammie or get injured in practice etc. and he will be the fall guy just like Schmidt is around here, pushed em way too hard..... ;)

in 3 years of high school football my team never once practiced this. Im not kidding. When a friend of mine told an OU coach that, he said he couldnt believe it.

I don't get it. How can you *not* practice tackling? If anything, you need to show the kids poor technique vs. proper technique (for example, keeping your head up) so they don't end up breaking their own necks on a simple tackle!

Maybe MK should think about rapping for a career. He's out of football, right?

I watched the video link they had posted with the fat coach guy interviewing Wylie. What a trade up. Wylie seems like a smart, likable guy. Too bad.

Did you not have a very big roster? I could see a team doing this if they had between say 30 and 40 kids out for football. I wouldn't agree with it, especially in the preseason, but I could understand their thinking.

UT used to have a Head Trainer years ago when DKR was there by the name of Frank Medina. If you can find a printing of the book "Meat On the Hoof" published in early '70's, it includes some stories about him.

And before any UT lurkers start bashing the book about how the author was disgruntled former player, I heard a similar story about Medina from a former UT BB player years ago when I lived in Houston.
