The only one I really know anything about is Metoyer. The press he's gotten this season is pretty, well, awesome. He had some really big-time games and I think he has every opportunity to be a big contributor next season. A lot will depend on Jaz's rehab, but I think Metoyer has as good a shot as anyone to figure prominently in the WR rotation next season.

What about the rest of the class so far?

I could be wrong but I do believe Nathan Hughes has earned a 5th star when the final rankings come out.

Danzel Williams is scary if he ever gets a chance to play RB, or do punt returns. He has the shiftiness or Finch but maybe even more elusive! Unfortunately he's gonna get stuck as a DB and he just doesn't have the size here I don't think.

So, I was on the Rivals boards and everyone is talking about Metoyer going the Juco route. Has anyone heard this or was this just talk to get people talking and spreading rumors

I was watching some of his videos and he looked kinda slow for a 5 star receiver.

I've seen Marquis Anderson...

Needs a good spring in the weightroom, needs to keep that motor running and become a steady player ( He is feast or famine but when he is on he looks good)

A buddy mailed me Jordan Phillips film... Dude is RAW but freakish athlete.. Needs seasoning at whatever position he settles in..Reminds me of Kearse

Quick question: I just glanced at the Rivals' Team Recruiting Rankings... how the hell does USC have 25 recruits???

I thought ten scholarships were going to be taken away annually from '11-'13? I realize they're appealing the decision but does that totally negate the punishment?


...and to stay on topic, I'm most excited to see Brandon Wiliams. The kid can ball.

I'm hearing that 9 of those will count against last years total. It's remarkable that kids still want to go and play there.

Why do you think that? It's freakin' USC!!! Great location, great tradition. Their 2 year bowl ban is half way over now. They still have some good players there and will continue to get good players and they didn't do half as bad as people thought they would last season. They won't be going 5-7 anytime soon that's for damn sure. Like it or not, they'll be back before ya know it.

They have the dirtiest recruiter on the trail working for them.... the Cajun. They could lose 50% of their scholarships and he'd still get 5*'s.

Jordan is a beast hes at the Y in my town all the time and ive had to guard him in the paint some more. Only thing i see is just getting more cut and shedding some of the weight and getting faster.

Just in case anyone missed it, but Scout has given Nathan Hughes a 5th star. OF course we give no credence to these stars, but it's exciting non the less due to the uncertainty at D-line.

Starting a recruiting thread in the FB forum is like starting a baseball thread in the Fark section. It's not like there's a mod who dedicates his time to updating the recruiting or anything ;)

One of his "little" brothers is in seventh grade and is 6' 2", 230 lbs. All four boys are HUGE.

Yeah, we need to get a verbal from that 7th grader. You can't coach someone to be 6'8". Yell at 'em all day, they won't grow a bit. ;)
