I'm on call 24-7. I'm a software developer and am responsible for several applications across multiple plants around the nation. I can work remotely from home but go into the office every day.

Some weeks I only work 40 hours. Others I work 60, or more. When emergencies arise, I log on at home and will work till 3am or later.

Some weeks are easy. But there are times, and they seem to come all at once, that I feel like I work around the clock, am constantly checking my email and putting out fires etc...

I'm very grateful to have a job. VERY. So don't get me wrong.
But it seems like if you have a job these days, you work around the clock to keep it.

I was just curious to see how much time the rest of you Sooner fans put in each week.

This time of year? It's in the 55+ hour range. In the summer I can get by with about 35.

0, 45 or 60, depending on the week.
I off in the summer, but my salary is divided up so I get paid all year long.
I usually put in 60 hours a week during the first and last two weeks of school.
During the rest of the year, I usually put in 45 hours a week. And no lunch.

44 one week, 36 the next. The fridays I work are split up over 2 work weeks, so no overtime, but I get every other friday off.

40+

But there have been some long days/weeks depending on what projects we have going on.

Exactly 40 each week. I work in a small engineering firm, so that is rare. Great company!

Time-tracking software from last years shows me at 3817 hours. So around 75-80. I run a software company.

If time spent surfing the net and fooling around on message boards is counted as work, then I put in a solid 40 hours every week.

Do I need to exclude the time I spend browsing SF? If so, I probably average about 36 hours of actual work each week, unless there's a sh*t storm going down and then it's just however many hours it takes to put the fires out, which could be 60+....those are the weeks it sucks to be on salary.

i like to contemplate the untold dollars i was paid to use the restroom
in the (approx) 40 yrs i worked !!!

one thing i noticed right after i retired was that our TP expense doubled.

I'm at school 40 hours a week with a couple of planning periods...like right now. :D During marching band and football season I average around 60 hours a week on a normal week and more on those busy weekends when I have more than 1 contest to attend. Thank God for concert band.

Those coaches that go straight from football season to basketball season to track season have to be insane. I don't know how they do it. Also I don't know how they balance a family life with their schedule. I just know that they are a lot more dedicated than I am.

I'm a stay home wife/mom, I'm never NOT at work. I've had a lot of jobs, this one definitely has its perks, but it's the toughest one I've ever had--24/7, there's always something, and if I don't do it, it don't get done.

And that includes a summer at a Whirlpool factory doing assembly next to the steel plant. No a/c. 103 on a good day. Ugh.

If you have a stay-home spouse, give 'em a hug, I'm sure they could use it. ;)

I do about 15 minutes of real, actual work a week.

Weekdays I'm at work for 40 hours. After work I farm until dark or later. So depending on the time of year, about 60 -90 hours M-F. Weekends I farm from dawn till after dark. I guess I work about 120+ hours a week - give or take about 20 hours.

My only days (when I'm in Oklahoma and not up here in God-forsaken DC) that I don't work all day is OU football Saturdays. Of course then we work doing the tailgates so I guess I never get a day off.

I started working at home in sept and I cannot keep tp in supply, I try to blame the wife but she does not buy it. I did not realize this added expense to working at home or I may not have agreed to doing it.
