Jonathan Nelson will be playing the E-W Shrine game as will Orie Lemon and Dan Bailey from OSU

Nelson has also accepted the invite to play in the NFLPA(former Texas VS Nation Bowl) game on Feb 5th

What has happened to Ingram? He was all-worldly after last season. I guess the continued success of Richardson has taken some of the shine off of him.

A lot of people have him a lot higher than I do...And I wouldn't doubt him getting a 1st round pick since he is probably the only 1st round draftable back out there.

Im just not sold at him being a great NFL back..His numbers were pretty typical of some other RBs that have gone through that system(Glen Coffee?) and isn't that good in pass protection..lacks top end speed

Know Cam Newton will most likely be picked in the first round but he looks like a project to me.

I think DeMarco is a top-50 prospect. He shouldn't make it past the second round.

The Blaine Gabbert ratings are what have surprised me. I just never woulda thunk it. Good for him.

Like I've mentioned before, Gabbert was a better prospect coming out of high school than Chase Daniel was as a college senior...All the tools you would look for in a quarterback..

and probably the highest bust potential of any of the top 10 guys in this draft

I wasn't that impressed by Peterson against aTm or by Amakumara agaist us. Then again, I know jack-**** about DB except what you can tell from plays where they throw or run at the DB. So, as a Lions fan hoping they can get a lock-down corner, what am I missing?

Where does Beal end up in the draft?

stoops the eternal pimp
1/17/2011, 05:24 PM
On Peterson from what I hear, there is indecision on whether or not to turn him into a safety..If that happens, he drops..

To play corner in the NFL, you have to be able to play physical no matter the coverage scheme. In both Peterson and Amakumara, you have guys that can jam and have great hips and back pedals..good size, speed, and can man up.

But a 6'1 220lb cb that can run in the 4.4s and blanket cover...Peterson is the real deal..

Corner is a different kind of position to scout, because usually the less you see them involved, the better it is that they are doing..meaning that the offense is going away from them.

Where does Beal end up in the draft?

Late 2nd/Early 3rd now IMO...

I think Chargers or Cardinals..He is limited in that he will go to a team that runs a true 3-4 defense to play OLB

You have AJ number 2 but do you think the Broncos will take him 2nd. I'm a big Broncos fan, and I would think they would address other needs first

stoops the eternal pimp
1/17/2011, 08:37 PM
No I don't think they do...

I think Denver takes Fairley and if he is off the board, Bowers

Whats funny about some of the criticisms of Bradford which were all false but look at Gabbert, has that guy ever taken a snap from under center?

No, its definitely something he'll have learn.

The thing that ticked me off about the Bradford talk was I had to go back and chart his snaps to show those fools

Interestingly no OU guys in there. Funny how that works. Last year we had three 1st rounders and finished 8-4, this year we have NO 1st rounders and we finish 12-2.

Going to FSU will be a good barometer, they may not be the best team we necessarily play but it is on the road and they are gonna be pretty damn good anyway
