Too early. We need to see who goes in the draft. Blackmon leaving would leave OSU much weaker, IMO.

Really, Texas #22?

Where is this coming from?

They went 5-7. They lost both coordinators and their S&C coach.

Then factor in that they lose 3 starting Olinemen (Kyle Mix, Britt Mitchell, & Micheal Huey), 2 of their best WRs (James Kirkendoll & John Chiles), two defensive linemen (Eddie Jones & Sam Acho), and their 2 starting CBs (Curtis Brown & Chykie Brown).

This is not including if they have any early departures.

At this point in time, I do not see Texas being better than #6 in the Big 12 next season.

Losing players from a 5-7 team is a bad thing?

Losing players from a 5-7 team is a bad thing?

I think their biggest issue wasn't their players...it was their offensive coordinator.

Will Muschamp, no matter how much you want to hate him, was a good DC, and they proved that. They had a top 6 total defense in 2010 even with a 5-7 record....so losing their defensive starters will hurt them.

And we all know what happens when you lose more than half of your offensive line.

So yes, losing those players hurt them.

No doubt, but this was a bad time for tons of turnover at key player positions as well as coaching ones.

They most likely wont. I would be very surprised if they were.

But losing that many key players and having to learn a new offense and defense will not be the best thing for them.

I do see an improvement from last year maybe 6-6 or 7-5.

I would be very surprised if they win more than 7 games though.

Aaron Williams was hands down their best CB, & he's declared for the draft.

ut will bounce back, at least in terms of having a winning record and getting to a bowl. They have plenty of talent. We can take the wind out of their sails by beating them in October, with what may turn out to be a 4-loss season. But I for one expect that they will give us a good game, and underdogs winning that game are hardly rare.

I suspect they'll be in the top 25 by the end of next year. I'd like to believe they're starting a run on skid row, but it just isn't going to happen.

Well, this poll has them at #5 in the Big 12, so you (or they) aren't far off.

Addition by subtraction, at least for Greg Davis and Lardass.

If that's true then that explains a lot about their season.

I don't like the 'horns any more than anybody else on here, but Williams is a quality player. He's consistently been rated no worse than the 3rd best CB in the upcoming draft, & sometimes 2nd (in the drafts I've seen by those who think Peterson will eventually play safety in the league). Their coaching staff may be in upheaval right now, but that doesn't include Akina. That guy consistently produces quality DB's.

He may be physically talented but he seems like a brain fart machine to me.

We need a poster with Ronnell, Travis, Ryan, and (insert name) that says "We're coming....and we're bringing all hell with us."

I don't think Landry would do it.

Meh...mebbe it's gay like that USC bath house poster a few years back.
