Not bad, considering we played five teams in the Top 25. I wonder what was our final strength of schedule rating? We have been in the top five consistently in recent years. Stoops doesn't believe in playing teams like North Texas, Rice, Wyoming, like, well, you know who. . . .

We play some patsies, but not as the entire non-conference schedule like some teams we know south of Oklahoma. OU mixes in FSU, Cincy, BYU, Miami, Oregon, TCU, and other strong teams. Our SOS is consistently near the top from year to year.

We ended up as 12th in the NCAA tabulation, which only takes into account Opponents W-L record.
Official NCAA SOS (As of Jan 2.) (http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2010/Internet/toughest%20schedule/fbs_9games_cumm.pdf)

I believe that Colley Matrix and the others also figure in the W-L record of Opponent's opponents.

Colley Matrix has us with the #2 SOS.

All in all we had a good season. Could have been better at times but also it could have been worse too.

Give our kids credit for what they accomplished (12 and 2, Big 12 Champs, Fiesta Bowl Champs) and let's all look forward to next fall.

P.S. We're better than 6th.

The 3 state schools in the top 25. That is impressive.

That's about right. Congrats to Stoops & Co. on another fantastic season.

Next year looks like it could be VERY exciting.

Yes they are dying about that here. There was no way they were going to be in the top ten. I figured about 12 so 13 is a belated Christmas present for me.

And only 1 Florida school in the top 25. A team that we beat by 40, by the way.

Whoops 2. Damn UCF!

We are the highest ranked 2 loss team. A top 5 finish would've been nice, but hard to justify placing us ahead of any of the others. Excellent season overall though. Beat all our rivals, won the Big 12, and won a BCS game. Outside of a national championship, it doesn't get much better.

Tulsa finished ahead of Iowa and Florida in the polls. That's a big deal!

Poke can't be too mad - they only beat two teams (A&M, Tulsa) that finished ranked, right? There is absolutely no component in anyone's computer or mind yet for a "quality loss," so don't go sayin "Our only losses were to ranked opponents!" :P
