Did Lester the Molester in Baton Rouge win it his first year? And didn't Saban win it his second year in Bama?

How many have won it in their second year as a head coach? I believe Stoops is the one and only to this day.

Meyer had coached at Bowling Green and Utah.

Tressel at Youngstown State.

Chizik at Iowa State.

*These are off the top of my head so don't kill me on the jobs these guys held.

Second year as a coach at that school is what the broadcast mentioned.

If you look at what each coach had to pull from, Stoops was still the most amazing of the bunch.

OU's previous 5 years before Stoops were below .500. I think the rest of these other teams still had decent teams. Not taking anything away from the other coaches. They are all really, really good but what Stoops did at OU is still pretty miraculous.

well clearly it is time to fire stoops
for 2 or 3 years
then re-hire him
for 2 or 3 years
wash rinse and repeat

btw the 3 years is just in case somebody wants to be repeat champion
