There is no way the NCAA will embarass themselves. Not when they had a chance to nip it in the bud and didn't. The NCAA is done with it.

I would like to believe this but I don't have much faith in the NCAA these days.

I hope if all the talk is true that it all comes tumbling down on their heads. I just can't see being offered money at one place and going to another school and getting nothing. Somewhere, somehow, money exchanged hands.

Doesn't really matter, everyone will always remember Auburn being the best team this year.

Wishful thinking.

This one is in the books. The SEC has now won 5-straight NCs. That's what ESPN wants. That's what the SEC wants. That's what the NCAA wants. Lobbying is a powerful, powerful American institution.

VERY true..until the feds get involved. It's all about what they want and what they command. (doubt they care about the championship)

I'm hoping the 2011 National Champion will be OU. Now, the 2010 National Champion is Auburn.

Who knows. The NCAA is a completely random entity....they could be given the death penalty or an award for sportsmanship. No one knows.

What's for sure in the real world is that Auburn's 2010 NC is the dirtiest title in modern college football history. More so than Southern Cal's because we didn't know it at the time...

Scammy Scam and Daddy Scam are filthy guilty and the NCAA and the entire football world knows it.

In the meantime....Scammy Scam, Dirty Gene, and the Auburn "family" will enjoy the best championship that money can buy.

That's what pisses me off about the whole thing. Everyone and their dog knows he cheated, the NCAA just can't prove that Cam knew about it, even though we all know he did. They just exploited as loophole. Will anything come of it? I sure hope so, but only time will tell.

It's in the books for now. But the media thrives on building someone up, only to later tear them down.

ESPN is probably already looking for a director for the forthcoming 30 for 30 special: Cam Newton, Fall from Grace.

I don't know. When the lovefest is over, and the FBI information comes out, and NCAA decides it wants to again 'send a message'.... I just have a feeling they will always do what's in their best interest at the time. At the moment, it was in their best interest to let all of the star players play. Sure they might be embarrassed a bit at some point. But Money >>>> Embarrassment. Both now and in the future.

And we still don't exactly know how all of this will turn out. It could be that there are in fact a lot of genuinely innocent parties and/or no evidence to prove otherwise.

It is all about the $$$$$. Maybe it is true that the NCAA did not have enough concrete evidence to bonk Auburn right now. Perhaps the FBI investigation is holding things up and it will all come out later, BUT the Ohio State fiasco where Five players were allowed to play in the bowl game just goes to show that $$$$$ rules, at least in the near term. Even if Auburn is found guilty at a later date and "stripped" of the title those actions are really meaningless since the $$$$$ have been made.

The money a team gets for a national championship should be paid back with interest. The school/conference whoever gets it should have to pay it back. Maybe that, the penalties to the program, and fines to the conference for not keeping their people under control would stop this. But, I have friends and family that are big Auburn supporters and they absolutely do not think anything has gone on there.

Yep, this worked out just about right:

Oregon is shown to have not really been all that.

Aubrun gets their championship....and will then have to give it up in the midst of an FBI run investigation that is likely to swallow them, Miss and Bama, too, thus tarnishing the Ees Eee Cee.

well scripted.

Why would the NCAA want the SEC to win 5 straight? I think they would want more parody.

There is a lot to come out from the Aubie booster and the casino chips/RICO review to the AL house and senate. I think this will fall big and I think Aubie will be in the middle. Aubie will be remembered like SUC...
