View Full Version : Should TCU be ranked #1 in the final polls?

Obviously, TCU won't be ranked #1. The winner of this game will, despite the performances being presented on the field by both teams.

Hypothetical, though, should they be in consideration? Their victory was far more impressive than what both of these "high powered" teams are showing tonight.

AP poll should ranked them number one just to mess with BCS people

I was thinking the same thing!

The winner of tonight's game should play TCU, so we can determine who is most deserving. Unfortunately, our system doesn't provide for that.

No, they shouldn't and will be #2 but honestly TCU could probably take both these teams.

TCU would not beat Auburn. Auburn is making even Oregon look slow

I'd vote for TCU or Auburn, anybody but the mother duckers!

TCU is planning a Co-National Championship parade around the Ft Worth stockyards.

You don't get a Crystal trophy for playing Wisky.

That gives TCU an easier path to the NC by being the third-ranked team. Not fair.

The two teams played tonight for the national title. Auburn won. Season over.

I think Oregon had just as easy an path as TCU. I think TCU is just as good as these 2 teams. Probably better than Oregon but since this game was close they could probably beat Auburn too.

TCU didn't exactly light up the scoreboard either. i don't see why they are any better than Auburn

it will be interesting to see how they do next year

Split the NC. Ap to tcu and bcs to auburn.

No. For everyone that whined about BSU's schedule, TCU's was easier except for the bowl game.

Oregon would have had to beat Auburn and TCU, both undefeated schools. TCU would have had to beat Wisconsin and Oregon. An easier path.

The +1 format doesn't work. You can't make the #1 play the #2 in the first round.

shut up with this ****ing stupid ****.

If we would have beat LSU in 2003. Would we be saying USC deserved some? STFU

The SEC has now won 5 BCS titles in a row. Which SEC team will win the NC next year. Who will be the chicken fodder for the SEC next year. OU? I wish now that OU had joined the SEC. That way if they did manage to win the SEC then I would know that they would win the NC.

no, they still played a cupcake conference and beat a team from the overrated big 10. no

The AP poll is irrelevant now. Trying to split the title isn't even possible as they aren't even part of the equation anymore. They can award their own Title but it doesn't mean anything. We don't play in the AP system anymore.

TCU is a good football team but what they really are is a media darling. I don't think they would beat either team tonight. They play good sound ball but they don't have the speed to hang with these teams.

Wisconsin is all kinds of slow and TCU is damn lucky they won that game.

Wow...let's remember this is a forum not real life. Maybe you need to go outside for awhile and get some fresh air.

The Opelika-Auburn News has declared TCU the 2010 Nat'l Champs. You know, just for consistency's sake.

Did any of you go to a TCU game and see them play or watch an entire game on TV. They beat Wisconsin, BARELY. Did you see how the Big 10 fared in bowl games. They are as one of you said "media darlings". They are a really good, senior led, football team. Auburn and Oregon would have run up and down the field.

This 100%

Call me crazy, but I saw nothing Monday night that would make a game against TCU a gimmee for either team.

Yep 3 guys thought they were the best team. I thought there might be even more of them.

No, TCU is not No. 1. After 35 bowl games this year, I'm not really sure that half of them should have been played. I know the Big XII bit the big one in most of their games. Fortunately for them, they have 2 Oklahoma teams to thank for keeping them out of the winless column.

I had them as #1 and don't think think that Auburn, UO, and TCU are the three most talented teams in the country.

With that being said, I would have voted them that way b/c that is the way that our system is designed.
