I think they're doing a great job. Saban especially. I'd like to see Stoops in this role.

Not next year of course. :D

This is smart of Saban. Not only does he get paid, but he also instills his image in the minds of young recruits who might be watching ESPN

+1... why not put Mikey up there instead of Saban or Meyer. Even it out.

Listening to Reece Davis recap the Auburn/Alabama game was priceless..."Nick, your team had a chance to win until the turnovers."

eh, their teams won the last two titles, I have no problem with that.

Don't think they should have two SEC coaches but then it looks like Myers may be there permanently since he no longer will be coaching. Should have had one PAC 10 and one SEC but ESPN is so far in love with the SEC I am not shocked.

ESPN has a multi-billion dollar contract with the SEC. Who do you expect them to promote?

I was a bit surprised that Mack Brown didn't join them.

Urban Meyer was at ESPN in Bristol when his team was getting ready for their bowl game. What is the real reason he left? It sure wasn't to spend more time with the family excuse.

Stoops never seems to enjoy giving press conferences. I don't think he'd be too eager to try the other side of the mic either.

I think this was stupid, and hope stoops never feels the need to do something like this. Current coaches should not being analyzing games, especially against teams they've played this year. Embarrassing for both programs IMO.

Ha! Its like he's been taking public speaking courses. He's been doing it all year...awkwardly I might add.

ESPN doesn't hang with LOSERS.

I have a feeling those 2 probably can't stand each other...I bet there were some awkward/terse moments behind camera.

You'll see Stoops doing that when you see Stoops coaching at texas. Doesn't fit his personality.

odd that you say that. Because prior to last year I wouldn't have expected Nick Saban to make cheesy commercials for ESPN that make fun of his perceived personality, or to play himself in a movie about a kid who went to an opposing school.

Urban might hate Saban. Saban, after the '09 season though, just smiles and treats Urban like a $5 lap dance: interesting enough, but you know you're just killing time.

The insight was awesome. Talking about how Auburn has stayed ahead of the down and distance and that's how they stay successful. If you can stop them there, you have a better shot. Talking about Cam's size and how he's basically the weight of a LB and you can't count on rockinbg him at the line of scrimmage. I thought it was really good stuff. I can't believe we have to listen to Corso now.

You got me there. I thought the same way about Saban, so maybe I am wrong. I forget that Bob sometimes runs through the ESPN gauntlet of shows as well.

Agreed. Stoops hates the media. Why in hell would he ever want to go over to what he perceives to be the dark side?

Probably the best venue for Meyer to audition in, considering the game turned out to have the largest cable audience ever in history of any other program or event. I'm assuming he'll probably do one yr of TV analyst work and after that don't be surprised if he turns up coaching somewhere in 2012--coaching football gets in these guys blood and once they are away from it for a while its amazing how many of them eventually end up back in it. As for Saban, he's regularly on game day and other espn programs to the point I frankly think it's just old hat to him.

I don't think Meyer will do much more than Belotti did this year. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Meyer is just a studio analyst for the most part.

Saban may not be the most personable coach in the nation, but he is well-spoken and informative and quite a bit better than Urban.
