He got tons better as year went on, he had a BIG sack against *saxet* that prolly iced the game. He had a couple of tackles for loss in the bowl game, among other stuff! He is the future of the ou d! Congrats!!

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma linebacker Tom Wort has been named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.

The redshirt freshman finished his first season with 66 total tackles, a figure that ranked No. 6 on the team and tops among the team's freshmen.

Wort also had 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and five quarterback hurries.

The New Braunfels, Texas, product, who originally hails from England, played in 12 games and started nine, all at middle linebacker.

Wort's top tackle game came against Texas when he had 10. He also registered a sack in that contest.

Wort also played well in the recent Fiesta Bowl victory when he made five unassisted tackles in the 48-20 win over Connecticut.

Agreed..... Not really my style to get on another poster, but taking a jab at one of our players after winning a national award is low. Congrats Mr. Wort; you earned it.
