Let's see. . . Oregon has gotten screwed on a replay (not really, it was a good call but you get the picture) and now AU is going to kick a field goal to win the MNC. All that's left is for AU to get the title vacated in a year or two and everything will have gone as planned.

You are correct! Auburn may be hyped by ESPN and declared the National Champs but they are a classless and their recruiting of thugs showed tonight. Cannot believe there were not more personal fouls called on Auburn.

Now for the FBI to complete their investigation and force the NCAA to actually look at the facts. This is a tainted National Championship just like the one for USC. Auburn can crow all they want but you cannot change the facts that the NCAA fell down on the job for the sake of revenue from the National Championship which allowed Auburn and Newton to skate for now. They didn't have the nerve to do the right thing to Cam Newton or to the five Ohio State players because of MONEY!

I thought Oregons D played well at times but missed some crucial tackles. $cam Newton didn't play well but Auburns front four on D really took over at times. There was a time or two early in the first half when I wondered if these are really the two best teams CFB had to offer.

IMHO TCU belongs in the title conversation and if $cam gets exposed there's going to be even more rumblings.

Auburn was holding more cards than UO as far as match-ups. UO did a good job of hanging in there and even getting a tie late. But I was sure they couldn't hold Auburn the last 2 minutes and make it to OT. And even if they made it to OT, I think Auburn would have a big edge in that format with their power run game. But weird things can happen.

You can joke all you want poke but if you think those two teams would destroy TCU then you need to watch more TCU games. Newsflash, they have thirty five plus days between conference and Nat'l title games so your point is moot. I'll forgive you because I know OSU fans never get there. Anyway, I believe TCU could have scored more than 23 points on either of those teams and the horned frogs have a better overall defense they both those teams.

The time between the conference and national title game is a problem but the pink elephant in the room is there's two undefeated teams still left standing and they haven't played eachother.

There will be no further NCAA investigation or sanctioning.

The NCAA suits have apparently decided the game doesn't need another scandal of the Reggie Bush magnitude. The NCAA ruled, before the SEC conference championship, that Newton remained eligible because: 1) his dad's actions weren't his; 2) Newton didn't know about his dad's scheme, and; 3) there was no evidence AU offered or agreed to pay his dad anything.

Folks may not like it, but there it is...."But in the midst of top-ranked Auburn celebrating a national title for the first time in more than five decades after defeating Oregon 22-19 in Monday night’s BCS Championship Game, its star quarterback Cameron Newton made his way to the University of Phoenix Stadium’s east side and climbed in to the first row of the stands.

Frenzied Tigers fans crowded him as they slapped his shoulder pads, snapped his photograph and yelled, “We love you Cam!” During it all, he was oblivious.

Instead, Newton carefully scanned the crowd higher up in the stands before finally motioning passionately for someone to come to him. When that didn’t happen, he walked along a row of seats to the aisle.

And after charging up several more rows, Newton finally found what he was looking for — his controversial father, Cecil Newton Sr."-from article by Thayer Evans
