Does anyone have experience with this? If so, can you make recommendations on the best options?

Epi Info used to be something that could perform epi-related stats . . . I haven't used it in a loooooong time.

What, you don't want to spend $5K on SPSS? ;)

What specifically are you doing? We've used PSPP for some stuff but it definitely not SPSS.

R is an advanced statistical software program as well. PSPP is nice for simple regressions, ANOVAs, etc.

While I haven't used it myself, many of my friends are raving about R.

Unfortunately, since it came out, I've switched jobs and don't do as much statistics as I used to. However, if at some point I need to do more, I will probably have a look at it.

A good starting point to learn R: http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/r/

What he said:

simple regressions, ANOVAs, etc.

I don't expect to have to do extensive modeling or the like anytime in the near future.

Based on how much improvement there has been to weapon system software in the military because of open source, I would think it is a very good option whatever the project.

R is the best free one.

Can you run it on a Mac?

Nevermind...I checked and it does.
