I am going to go ahead and give a shot at this. I know we have had a few folks on here talk about this, but with T. Lewis and Broyles coming back, here it goes

Looking at this, I can't think of any other team in America with that sort of returning firepower. The strengths of the team seem to be QB, TE, WR, OL, DE, LB, DB, and yes, kickers. The points of concern are RB, DT, and the KO coverage. RB COULD be strong, but all of the returning RBs have had health issues, and Brandon Williams, even though he might be talented, is still unproven. Similar things could be said of the DTs. McGee had a good year; McFarland is improving; and, when healthy, Walker is good. Health concerns were a problem in 2010 (Walker, Noble, Taylor), so it was hard to get consistency. If Noble cannot go anymore, which I hope is not true, then
RFRs like Peterson, Humphries, Damon Williams or TFRs like Wade, Phillips, or Anderson will need to step into the rotation. I look for Peterson to do that, since he was making really good strides in practice this season. KO coverage MUST improve. In fact, one of the most import moves in the offseason must be getting a full-time special teams coach. We have suffered without one, and it has been a glaring weakness. Whoever it is, he has the talent around him to have lights-out kicking teams.

Please feel free to dissect.

He may not be in the two deep, but from what I've heard Geneo Grissom will be getting some playing time in the fall. Spring ball should be a lot of fun to watch.

I made the changes i think are gonna happen. Im not in love with OUr dline and i hope sooooooo much that Noble is back next year. OUr ends are good, but not great and DTs didnt have a push that i loved last year. But as we have seen with Stoops, everyone is almost always getting better.

Changes i made where, Trey Franks is a X and not an H(slot). I want to see Joe Powell who basically has the same body type as Broyles at H which is where they had him this year. I dont think Jarvis will flip to right tackle but i really dont know at this point. I would rather see the SO Alandoye get developed and RT is the spot to do it. Running backs are going to be fun to watch pan out. Finch would start today (if healthy) but at this point i just want to see how Calhoun and Miller come together and see if one of them can come out of the pack. Strong Side Backer is another big question mark right now. Corey Nelson is very athletic and i cant wait until he is starting. But he is not a strong side backer, he is a weak side backer. oh and Drew Allen will be the #2 QB. Blake is good, but he is not better than Drew right now.

I have battled back and forth about the back-up QB. I just feel like Bell is going to have a great spring camp.

I really wanted to put Metoyer in the 2-deep; however, that would mean putting Franks in the slot. I always thought that Franks was being groomed to be Broyles's replacement in the slot. Joe Powell is another one that is elusive, and I think we could see a good bit of him next year as well. It will be interesting to see just how McClain comes back from injury. One could make an argument for any of the 11 scholly WRs at this point.

Whereas it has been mentioned that Nelson would be the heir-apparent to T-Lew, his skill set might have him as a SLB in OUr system. I also like D. Franklin, as he played in the Fiesta Bowl, and I wanted to find a spot for him.

I can't remeber a Sooner team this deep. Plus, you think of other positions like RB Calhoun, Miller & Brandon Williams (new guy) surely one of these guys can produce.

They are literally loaded at every spot!! My only fear is this team will get too caught up in all the weapons and talent. They will still have to earn the title. Just getting there isn't enough as we have seen in the past.

i can see the coaches sitting in a meeting room with all these players on the board at their respective positions and just looking at each other like, "are you kidding me?" I mean we can get some kind of creative with play calling with a roster like this...yes, i said creative. even with our tempo, we should never get tired. any chance we go faster :)

We had the 2nd lowest yards per rush attempt in school history this past season. Other than Beal it didn't seem like anyone stood out on the DL. It's easy to be goo-goo-eyed over the wealth of skill position players but right now there's a pretty big drop off in the 'wow' factor when you just look at the OL and DL. They don't really scare anyone.

I could quibble with some of your IH but I WOULD SAY THAT IN TERMS OF PRE-SPRING THAT IS NOT A BAD GUESS FOR A 2-DEEP. i WOULD PRAOBLY SAY WITH ALLEN UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE,AND i THINK JEFFERSON WOULD START AT SAFETY AND PROCTOR IS MORE LIKELY THE NICKEL.

+1 IMO this is where Stoops and Co. make all their money! Only time will tell. I do think that with the 2 losses, that could have been wins, this team has been there done that? I watched the Big 12 CCG again last night and seeing Landry eat on the WR (even RB85) him and Lewis are the leaders this team needs?

LOL

He does have a point though. Where were the 68-3 blow-outs of the olden days of the Sooner Juggernaut? This year were wins, but only Iowa State was a "let's see how many points we can put up" kind.

And to refute my own statement, we did play some above average teams this year.

The only question mark, IMO, on that 2-deep is Proctor's position. He's listed behind Q. Carter at the moment, but he's really underachieved at OU. I hope the guy can really earn the starting job, but i hope the coaching staff has an answer if he doesn't.

I think because if he pans out he is more suited to the Pistol Offense Stoops would like to run if we can develop the personnel to run it effectively.

Me three. We need a physical receiver to compliment Broyles & Stills. Kenney played that role the last few games and it was huge factor in the success down the stretch.

Presuming Dejaun Miller is healthy I'm not sure who would sit behind Metoyer. I would think Metoyer would be the #4 WR.
