So I have been having a huge problem with this today... I tried using the TivoDesktop, but I dont even think that I am connecting to my TiVo.
I tried using the program Galleon (http://galleon.sourceforge.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=96&Itemid=57) and i cant get it to sync up. I think my Bonjour is detecting my TiVo, but it calls it Virgil (WTF?).
Anyway, c'mon techie kids... Help me out!

Are the ports on your Tivo turned on for something like this?

So I figured it out... no thanks to you guys
You can log directly into your Tivo using https:// and then the IP address of your TiVo. This will get the .Tivo files which have to be encoded. I stole Toast from Roxio, because I am lazy. It also has a Tivo Transfer program.
The best free program that I found that will encode the files from your tivo and download them is iTivo (http://code.google.com/p/itivo/). It can also encode them to play pretty much anywhere.
Sloppy coding on the part of TiVo.. They should auto redirect for you.

you used to just have to just go online and turn on the option, and then tell it to sync and get the media key from the tivo. I don't know what's changed but **** d00d, my dad can do it so...
