Here is the official 2011 schedule per OU's Athletic Department

2011
10/08 - Texas (Dallas)
10/15 - at Kansas
10/22 - Texas Tech
10/29 - at Kansas State
11/05 - Texas A&M
11/12 - Iowa State
11/19 - at Baylor
11/26 - at Okla. State
TBD - Missouri*

2011 Non-Conference: TBA
at Florida State, Ball State, Tulsa

When looking at the Web sites of Florida State, Misso and Ball State we find that they have released the "tentative" dates that they will play OU.
At FSU 9/17; Mizzo at OU 9/24 and Ball State at OU 10/1. Tulsa and OU have not relased a date but only 9/3 and 9/10 are open. My guess would be TU on 9/3 and a open date on 9/10. One other change would be to move the OSU game to 12/3.

Probable 2011 Schedule

9/3 Tulsa
9/10 Open
9/17 @ FSU
9/24 Mizzo
10/1 Ball State
10/8 Texas (Dallas)
10/15 @Kansas
10/22 Texas Tech
10/29 @ Kansas State
11/5 Texas A&M
11/12 Iowa State
11/19 @Baylor
11/26 @OSU

So if your going to get married during the Fall of 2011, it looks like Sept. 10
is your best bet--but you might want to wait until the official schedule comes out in Februrary. Better yet, don't get married during Football season!

Thank you for that.

But who would ever get married during football season? Even if there is no game this year, you know that ain't gonna be the case for the next 50 years. No date is safe from mid-August to January 10th.

Get married during baseball season, cause that sport sux. That's why weddings should be in June! :D

I think the OSU game has already been moved to December to make up for the conference not having a title game. A couple of other rivalry games are probably going to be moved as well, including UT-A&M.

I always hate having an open date that early in the year, I also think it helps having one later in the year to heal up and work on things that the team is struggling with.

Honestly looking at that schedule who else thinks this past years 2010 team would have been unbeaten with that schedule? maybe one loss to fsu the way we played on the road but we did blow them out at home. this year our tougher conference games fell on the road and the easier opponents at home, things set up pretty well next year.

Castiglione confirmed in Glendale the Tulsa game would be Labor Day weekend (9/3 date). Only open date would then be 9/10...long stretch with no break after that.

TCU Frog fans keep telling me that "WE" will be opening their newly renovated stadium in 2012. They will be playing in it next year but it won't be complete. I sure hope that is correct.

I'm gonna absolutely be there for the Free Shoes game. That'll be the closest to me that the Sooners have played, except for the Sugar Bowl, since the 2003 Bama game.
