I know we're just being silly at this point, but in case anyone out there still believes in Santa Claus and Stoops leaving rumors, let me put your mind at ease.

A big house won't keep a coach around, nor will family in some cases. The coach can leave a big house and a family behind. However, what a coach really, REALLY would be stupid to leave is talent as big as the young guys on this team who will only get better with experience.

Don't think Stoops will ever go to the pros. Mygosh, he's building over a $3 million home in Norman. Does that sound like someone that has itchy feet?

To me, the true test of Stoops going anywhere was the Florida job. He didn't take it. Somebody OU knowledgeable told me that one time he saw a Stoops interview that told him that money wasn't the name of the game for Bob. It was where did he have a good situation for him & his family. So far, Norman fits for Bob & Co.

Also, I think his mentor, Spurrier, has already schooled him in the pitfalls of the pro coaching game, & that's that.
